A number of outed crop circle makers have suggested themselves that not all crop circles are man- made!
My own opinion is that alot are, but the ones that are not will be difficult to investigate without scientific equipment. some people say they are messages, or and spirtual - i have had the privaledge to see one myself - but i remain unconviced that this is not simply a form of Art , done by some clever humans! |

There was a documentary on the UK's Channel 4 a few years ago. They interviewed the head of the UK's 'Crop Circles Are Great' group (or whatever they're called) along with two blokes who make (lots of) crop circles for a laugh. Having filmed these two chaps at their art, the programme makers invited the bloke from the crop circle society to have a look. Strange how their instruments picked up "radiation fluctuations"...especially as the patterns had been made with wooden boards.
The face of the head of 'We Love Crop Circles Because They Sell OUr Books And Stuff' was a joy to behold as he was shown the film of his "radioactive" circle being made. |

Or it's hoaxers like we saw clearly documented (I think that's called 'proof'...you know...the stuff that sceptics are supposed to refuse to accept) in the Channel 4 TV programme.

pretty as they are, crop circles are, in my opinion, made by people. not aliens or lasers from outer space or stuff. i think this is why the film signs annoyed me. the alien story was watchable, but i got put off by the attempt to connect the e.t. plot to crop circles. dru xxx

I do believe that we should, at this juncture, consider indulging in what the street people (and some senior Lib Dem MPs) would call a "high five". |

Hi ALL.
There's an interesting video on YouTube called 'The Truth About Crop Circles' which is well worth watching for an overall introduction into this phenomenon. I'm inclined to think they are formed by types of electromagnetic energy/forces that we are currently unaware of. Perhaps the ***** of light often seen around crop circles are some manifestation of this energy? Regards, Conor |

Complicated 'pretty' and impressive looking crop circles are of course made by clever folks, who consider it an art form with a nice edge of mischief. Notice how they get ever more complex and 'impossible' - there is a strong element of competition.
I'm fairly sure not all 'crop circles' are made this way however, they have been seen for hundreds of years, and were once treated with great fear and suspicion. This was because of associations with 'little people' and faery folk, who, for some reason, seem to dance in circles... as do certain pagans involved in nocturnal, secret rituals... and of course, the Devil himself, who often got the blame. I have no doubt that even in Tudor times many were caused by mischievous folks as a joke, or even as a method of ftightening or intimidating pious, 'God-fearing' farmers and landowners. This is probably where the 'supernatural' connection began, only we don't have elves nowadays, we have alien spacecraft... Why anyone should ever suggest that creatures capable of travelling across light years of space would wish to 'communicate' by such methods is the ultimate mystery to me. Maybe if they parked their ships carelessly they might leave a crop circle, but I doubt that happens very often - and these days would be seen as far too boring (just a circle) to attract any attention? |

There seems to be a couple pieces of missing information in this thread about crop circle making and time factors ( how long it takes them to first of all..lay the measurements out, second of all, the archaic wood slats and rope to walk on in order to flatten the fields down.. not to mention the different sizes it would take in order to make the smaller areas intricate, and the lighting it would take to make perfectly measure the designs out, and the amount of people it would take to do this in a short 6 to 8 hour period of time before farmer John wakes up to find out his field has been altered.. as well as the vehicles it would take to bring all the equipment and people in to do a crop circle design.
The crop circles ( some of them at least) have been tested with perfect circumferences .. distances between points ( which could be several hundreds of feet from one point to another) so forth and so on. The crop circles that have been man made and those who admitted to doing them, are not as intricate as some of those who have no known ownership or group who has admitted their existence. So I also have to take that into consideration... Also the fact that the man made crop circles are on a much smaller scale then those others who have unknown resources. If we take a look at the above info.. Facts: #1 not all crop circles have admitted man made acknowledgments #2 not all crop circles can be explained with their perfect dimensions without more then 6 to 8 hours to create them #3 Radiation has been detected in the crop circles ( pretty hard for man to imitate that on a whim without the government knowing that the devices that create radiation were missing in action..lol #4 the cost factor of creating a man made crop circle has to be extremely costly.. who supports this indevour #5 according to the video links provided earlier in this thread... the ability that the device was able to lift itself up from it's block frames 1/2 to 1 inches from the crop circle information provided is not pure coincidence. I could go on and on...I am not trying to convince anyone they are "alien made" as I don't know exactly where they come from.. however, I personally do not think that "all" crop circles are man made. Perhaps it would make a great spirit read or a hypnotic regression to see if someone could seek some answers Annie |
