Whats your favourite crystal & why - What feelings do you get from them.

My favourite crystal is the clear Quartz. I work with the clear quartz the most as It is a natural amplifier. If you are needing a boost from a tiring day or you want 2 enhance the energies as a working medium, healer, etc. I find the clear quartz an absolute must. I find that It heightens your awareness & senses as well.

I prefer all varieties of quartz. Unlike many other crystal practitioners, I don't get different feelings or energies from different types of quartz (clear, smoky, citrine, amethyst, etc.) but instead only feel the relative energy level of each individual crystal. While I can feel the energy of many other kinds of crystals, none of them are nearly as strong a quartz. I can always pick out a hidden quartz intermingled with other rocks and crystals. I'd love to find large samples of rare and expensive crystals such as diamond or sapphire and experiment with the kinds of energy I'd get from them; but somehow I doubt that'll ever become a possibility ... at least until it becomes easier to privately purchase synthetic precious gems.

Slightly going off the subject

As we all know we can use the solar paneled energy the wind Turbines & the earths heat as an energy source, but I wonder when the scientists will be able 2 convert crystal power In a similar way. I know I am sensitive 2 energy & I can feel the power from my bigger quartz - I suppose that the scientists will not be able 2 measure this. Most of us would of heard somewhere down the line that Atlantis had this kinda power source - I wonder If any of the scientists are experimenting?

Are the crystal you choose what you do by chance or are you drawn to them?? I seem to be drawn to a light yellow myself why I am not sure.

My favourite is clear quartz too,especially when it has rainbows in it.I also like rose quartz,tiger iron and lapis lazuli.
In answer to your question Techdog,I feel that crystals choose us.I've often felt drawn to a crystal and brought it home and then looked in my crystal book and saw it was just what I needed.
Light yellow crystals bring in some sunshine energy and help with depression or sadness,and help with studies, so maybe you they want to cheer you up.

Clear Quartz is definitley my favourite, I'm not knowledgeable enough to say why or what exactly it does but i have a piece next to me at night that i like to hold before i sleep. Sometimes i just get tingles in my hands & other times large washes of energy through my whole body. Maybe i'll work it out one day, but i'm very drawn to it

I only have four:
a rose quartz (gift)
a long stick-like one that's white (it looks too cloudy to be a quartz) but it's for healing (a patient holds it during a reiki session), an obsidian (which spooks me out, it's black and very emotion-stirring), and my absolute favorite pendulum crystal, labradorite! T+Donna gave me some great info about it:
-helps you look outside the box
-helps you compile choices logically without outside influence
-encourages new ideas
-aids through difficult times
-helps with PMT (BrE) /PMS (AmE)
-clears addictions as it creates balance and relieves stress
-allows one's mind to be more open, more aware and flexible with ideas and beliefs
-great for those who suffer mood swings
-great when used in healing, acts as a reflective shield !

Remember that crystals have an energy that deserves respect. Treat your crystals like you would your freind / loved one. You will be suprised how well they respond 2 u loving them.

lol Nice, I accidently dropped my quartz last night & then found myself apologising & giving it a hug
You are right though, i do feel a strong friendship bond with them that i cant explain.
