Default What's the weirdest dream you've ever had?

My Weirdest Dream

The weirdest dream I ever had was of waking up, brushing my teeth and getting ready to go to work. It was so vivid that I actually believed it was real. Then I woke up and to my shock discovered that I was really in bed. I began the process all over again, brushing my teeth etc. But this was also a dream! So when I really did wake up I was not sure if I was dreaming or not.

I suppose it's a bit like the old Chinese story about the man who dreams of being a butterfly. When he wakes up he's not sure if he's a man dreaming about being a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming about being a man.

What's your weirdest dream? And have you ever had a lucid dream like mine that has challenged your understanding of reality?

Yes totally understand that sort of dream, thinking you are up and have got ready only to find you are still in bed and then gone on to dream it again, very strange dreams!

I seem to have so many strange dreams, quite often really vivid ones which will play on my mind for days after, a very common one for me is water theme which obviously is linked to emotion and its fairly easy in these dreams to assess my mental state by the type of water

Default father's death

i have a recurring dream of my father's death. i don't see him die or even find out how he dies someone just tells me he's dead i mourn i go to the funural and go through the whole greiving process and get over it before i wake up and once i've woken up i still think the dream is real and think it's like months after and i just think oh my god dad's dead and almost break down into tears, of course i see him a few minutes later and get scared witless he's raised from the dead or come to haunt me then realise i just had the dream again. the strangest thing is it never really hits me that he's 'dead' until i wake up.

Lots of weird one's but this one that happened a few days ago might take the cake. Not only was I Homer Simpson, the whole thing was in animated cartoon graphics but also like a computer game in that I was having to solve timed and sequenced puzzles with the objective of luring Marge in a room and quickly locking her in so I could advance to the next level - which was a lolly eating competition where I proudly gorged myself in disgusting style and record time until I felt ill. Don't ask - coz I have no idea

I was about 12 at this time I had this scary dream , I had an old Mickey Mouse kids record player that u had to place the needle on the record yourself, it was playing awful santanic-like melodic type music and it scared me so I took the needle off then went I went to walk away the record started playing by itsself and a whole bunch of sharps knives started flying at me and I ran into the kitchen cupbpard and saw all the knives go through the door almost cutting me... I still remeber it to this day and I am 36 yrs old.. I have had more bad dreams too

Default Weirdest Dream

I once had a dream where I was in the army and I was due to jump out of a plane the next day, (Why I would dream of those two things I don't know as I am against war and do not like heights.) When woke in the morning my bedroom was not my bedroom, but a big army tent with bunks all down the sides complete with sleeping soliders. The detail was perfect; There was boots all over the floor, things hanging up, I am sure I could smell a dampness in the air. When I seen this my heart moved up a few beats, and I quickly shook my head to get rid of the image. When I opened my eyes my room was my room again.

I get this dream within a dream from time to time now but not as bad as it used to be. Long time ago when I was younger say 13 to mid 20's where I used to get dream within in a dream like I mean 4 to 5 time within a dream. by this I mean in one dream sequence I would find my self walking up 4 to 5 time in that one dream. It made me hard to tell if I am awake or is it still a dream. most of the time the room would dim.

After a long time I then learn to try to find a clock to tell what time it is so that way I can tell if I am dreaming or awake. if the clock didnt change time then i would know i am dreaming, now the dream would be only be a 1 time dream with a dream. Aslo now I learn how to tell me if i am dreaming & to wake up at command.
