After reading some posts, I thought I'd share some of my experiences. All of which to me seem strange but I still shrugged them off as being a coincidence or just my imagination running wild lol

I've had a few weird/strange things happen during my life, all of which seemed to happen in my teen years. I don't know why. I can't remember all of them because most of them was little things, like deja vu - someone would tell me something and I was 100% sure they had already told me, when infact they never...I don't know if that's the right term for deja vu but that's what my friends and family would say haha. Anyway... I'm going to list the 3 main things that I remember, what really stuck in my mind.

1) My sister and I was having a normal conversation, talk about our day etc. I was sitting on the couch across the room and she was at the other side of the room standing underneath a speaker. My dad had attached speakers to our walls, in all 4 corners. Giving our TV great sound haha. I can't remember exactly why she was standing underneath one, well somewhat underneath, like half way under. She was talking and talking and for some reason I just shouted to her "MOVE" and she said why, to which I replied "I don't know why, JUST MOVE" she took a few steps forward and turned around and we both looked at the speaker, at that moment it fell off the wall. If she had of still been standing where she was, it would have hit her on the head. They was quite big speakers too. Ouch!

2) I was 16 and my dad was driving my friend and I to college. We stopped at some traffic lights and for some strange reason, I had this vision of a car crash. I couldn't really see what colour the cars was, or if they was both cars or vans etc. All I remember clearly from it was the actual collision of the 2 vehicles.
After that vision I just thought to myself "wow, that was a strange thing to vision" but I just put it down to my imagination (I have no idea why I would imagine such a thing anyway)
About 5 minutes later, I could see a white Van ahead of us and I just remember shouting "DAD STOP!!!"
My dad pressed firmly on the brake but it wasn't enough to stop us colliding in to the back of that Van. The front of my dads car was completely crushed! If I hadn't of shouted stop, it would have been a lot worse.
My dad couldn't see the Van infront at that moment because he got blinded by the sun and by the time he would have seen the van, it would have been too late.

3) This memory is the worst one I have.
I was at home using the PC and in the background I could hear my mum talking, I could hear TV and I could hear my dad using his table saw.
My dad loved making his own little things out of wood. Like little wooden boxes for us to keep things in or making small tables etc.
So I'm using the PC, chatting to a friend... Then for some strange reason my hearing went all funny...Like focused hearing is the only way I can put it... I couldn't hear my mum talking anymore or the TV, All I could hear was the sound of that table saw, getting louder and louder. At that point I got a HORRIBLE vision of my dad cutting his fingers. This all happened within seconds and after the vision had passed, all seemed fine.
Then I heard the sound of the table saw, only it didn't sound right... I can't describe it but right after that I heard my mum scream! I immediately went to see what was wrong and there was my dad holding his fingers, blood everywhere. He had to go to the hospital and get stitches.

After that, I guess I just blocked everything out. I wouldn't let "my imagination" get the better of me, so to speak. I haven't really had anything else like that happen now.

I read that everyone is born with "a gift" and some block it out or don't embrace it enough to use it, or something. I'm not sure if that's true though.
Do we all have to ability? do we all have "a gift" but different ones? i.e some can see future events, others can contact spirits etc etc. I know there's loads of different "abilities" out there.

I'm not saying what happened to me could be something to do with psychic abilities, it could well be just a coincidence or my imagination running wild. It's not just vision like this I've had though. I've seen things too, Spirits? But I'll post that in the other part of the forum later. I had one scary experience on that subject :-s

Hi angelaykit and welcome to the forums! Your post was quite interesting.
I believe we are all born with psychic abilities and I'm not surprised of what you said you experienced. I think that when we're younger (yes, even in our teens) that we don't have the inhibitions that we seem to have when we get older. Oddly enough, what you experienced reminded me of something I read in a book by Allison Dubois (a psychic medium) that she had the same type of experience as a teenager. Before going to bed one night she just had this feeling to move her bed to the other wall, so she moved it. That night, a car ran right into the side of their house where her bed "would" have been! (I'm not saying you're a psychic medium, but I wanted you to know that psychic abilities can sometimes give us that feeling of something about to happen around us.)

Personally, my advice to you would be to try and gain some more knowledge to develop your abilities if that is what you feel you need to do. As with any ability, knowledge is key! There are several ways of doing this. I would be more than happy to make some suggestions if it's something you feel is important to you.

Thanks so much for posting your experiences. I'm sure it will bring comfort to others that have experienced similar situations letting them know that they're really not going mad.

It's just great to have a place to post, where others can relate or even give advice/suggestions on the matter.
People around me who I tell just say "Oh yeah... that's strange" or "Oh well that's just pure coincidence" not much help there lol. It's lead me to believe what they say is true, so I don't think much of it.

Couple of things that may help you. You can visit a spiritual church if you have one nearby. They usually have information as to where there are seminars and classes in your area.

Also, you've come to the right place because this is a teaching site. (for paying members -- and membership is extremely affordable. The classes take place in the classroom section of the chat rooms. In my opinion, the teachers are second to none!
You should see the list of the classes on the home page when you log in. If not, feel free to stop by the chat room and ask about them, or just to chat for that matter. (there are several rooms in the chat room section that are for visitors, you're more than welcome to come and chat in them!) The site also has a "library" section with some great books (and e-books) that help with development.(again, that section is for paying members)
