Last night was very hot, so it was hard for any of us to sleep. So I took my daughter into bed which I usally don't do. And we were lying there, it was aroung 1:30 in the morning. And I smiled at her, and she sat up and started waving and saying hi, to something at the end of my bed. She started to giggle. I knew something was there, cause a calm feeling rush over me. When I usally sence something in my room, I'm usally very scared. And this time I wasen't . My daughter said bye-bye lied back down and gave me a kiss. And I went to sleep. We both had a great sleep.
I don't know if there is two different spirits in my house. Because one causes me fear, and the other on was calming. Anyone explain this to me. I don't know what to do or even say to these spirits.
For the past two weeks I have been unable to sleep in my room, except for last night. I'm confused. And there is no way my husband will bring in a meduim or ghost expert.

You don't have to tell your husband if he doesn't accept there could be something going on - but find a reputable psychic (who shouldn't charge you money) to advise you. Even if you can't have her visit the house (which might be a good idea), then she can at least reassure you and advise on how to deal with it.

When I was pregnant i was lying in the lounge room on couch cusions on the flor as i had cramps in my legs "pregnancy". Anyway someone stood on the end of the cushions. It must have been an adult because it felt quit heavy and pushed the cushions down deeply. Ever since then if I did have any talents for seeing or feeling these ghosts or whatever it was scared out of me until last september when my son and I felt and saw two different ghosts in our house. Not long after that we were asked to move as the house was being demoloished. Do you think these ghosts a man and a women had something to do with the house or my son and I. Two weeks before the man turned up I was in acar accident not seriously hurt but freaked out all the same. He stayed around for about 5 or 6 months and then there was awomen who stood beside my bed and just stared at me. A short chubby woman with a stribed blue tshirt and a white blonde bob cut hairstyle. Does anyone have any ideas. My son has also seen several other sightings in the house. One of which he explained as being white and looked like an alian. The man and the woman looked solid.

Oh and we had lived in that house for 3.5 years before anything started to happen that I could feel and see. I have had several other experiences as a child but shut off after the lounge room incident. Kind of confused about the whole thing.

hi, i'm new here and this is my first post
i've had many things happen in my house as in plates smashing in the kitchen, a dark shape going up the stairs
many people have seen this . the worst one for me was as i arrived home from work one afternoon i went into the kitchen to put the kettle on (as you do)out of the corner of my eye i saw some-one or some-thing standing at the back of me.
i turned round quick to see a young man with no expression on his face at all. but what i don't understand is that he (it)
did'nt have a body !! it was bluey grey and floaty . it stayed what seemed like minutes then turned its head sharp to the left and shot of towards my living room with out a sound. can anybody explain what i saw??

I have lived in my house for 27 years, on one and only one occassion about 20 yrs ago, having dropped my children off at school, I came home and was engrossed in some decorating. For some reason I kind of sensed someone was in the house, although it would have been unusual, thought my husband had returned from work, so called out to him but no one was there. I also felt cold, so stepped out into the hallway to go into the kitchen and make myself some tea. My attention was drawn to the living room straight ahead of me, where I saw for what was probably seconds, an elderly man standing smiling in the doorway to the garden. By the time I had blinked, he was gone, but the door was wide open. I looked in the garden, which is enclosed, no one was there, there was nothing missing in the house. The door was always kept locked and I have no idea how it could have become unlocked.

Some time later I spoke to my neighbour about what had happened, she just smiled and said he fitted the description of someone who lived there before us.
No explanation really, except for one room that one of my children refused to sleep in.

two people have died in my house but these where elderly ,and one has made himself known many times. the man i saw was in his 30's but i do not know why he never had a body, just a bluey floaty cloak like thing.i can still see his face now grey eyes and thin lips and no expression

Can someone tell me if you are sitting at your computer late at night and you feel someone playing with your hair and ear is that a spirit or something trying to get my attention. It happens all the time I also see ords flying around and things moving around my house out of the corner od my eye. Can someone tell me if that is how the spirit tries to get someones attention.

there is no diffrence between ghosts and spirits.. there both the same thing, the diffrence between the two types of ghosts is the demon, also known as a noisy ghost. Poltergeist in german. and the spirit. the spirit is simply a dead person re living the past over and over again, Not aware that you exist.. Put it this way. If you teleported to a far off galaxy and got a massive telescope and looked down to earth. Then you would see the medievil ages.. Because the light takes so long to reach the galaxy so the images captured in the light would be images from hundreds of years ago. Like, if we look into the sky at night, and we see some stars. They might not exist aneymore. were seeing the light from years ago, that has only just reached our planet. So whats to say that a ghost cant pass through that barrioir and manifest it'self into the future from a past stage of time. So in other words, time is an illusion and diffrent dimensions of time are litterally merged together into our demension of time, so we can see into the past. it all seems a little far fetch but very possible..

And then there is demon's.. now these can ither appear with no form vissable by the human eye, or in a full solid, or slightly transparent manifestation.. Normally poltergeists are spirits that have been summoned up from an ouija baord session, or passed through a portal from the spirit world into our world. And the manifestions of solid or transparent ghost's are meerly a ghost awaken straight after death, and never entered heaven or hell.. Simply becasue they might want revenge..

And there is one more ghost that i havnt mensioned.. It has no name, becasue poeple seem to think that this ghost, and a spirit are the same thing.. Well there is meerly two types of spirits.. One is a replay of history, merged into our time dimension so we can see it. Mensioned earlier. And then there is the one that is also stuck between heaven and hell, like the demon.. But this might be because of the strong love for something that might need to be carried on in the after life.. or because it's a spirit guide. Often spirits from heaven are brung back into our world becasue they have been chosen as a spirit guide for one person.. Not by the person but simply what the person deep down feels like needs to be there guide. maybe from a before experience, or someone they loved and lost..

So the answer to your question is.. If there is a ghost in your house. You will know about it.. Objects moved around (Demon).. Spiritual figures of somone around the house (spirit).. normally if the spirit does the same thing at the same time evry single day.. then it's a replay of history, but if it doesnt then its a spirit guide. hope that helped..

Perhaps you should read up on the different interpretations of poltergeists and the psychokinetic energy we are capable of producing ourselves before applying blanket myths such as demons to phenomena we can produce ourselves both unwittingly and deliberately. Such notions may unneccessarily have people scared of what is essentially themselves which does not warrant the fear your idea's could unfortunately instill.

I have the same question about whether my house is haunted. I grew up in a house that was built in 1774 in upstate NY. I moved to California for 20 years and just moved back to the house I grew up in. I had one experience when I was just 18 years old in this house where I and another person saw a glowing figure dressed in Colonial dress move across the path we were walking on just behind the house. I was terrified but very careful at that time to ask questions to test my perception. I asked my friend, do you see something in the road? He said "yes".I then asked is it white? He said "yes". I then asked is it a ghost and we both turned around and walked /ran back into the house. The thing I remember most about that image was the fearful look on the ghost's face as she looked directly at us. Soon after that experience I moved to California for 20 years and had no such experiences. I then had the opportunity to purchase the house in NY and jumped at it as it sits on over 30 acres and is absolutely beautiful. Since I've been back I wake up every night at 3am feeling fearful and pray feeling like I"m trying to avoid seeing something. I also have opened the door to the upstairs and on more than one occasion seen fleeting motion as if someone was walking up the stairs. It creeps me out so I don't go up there.

I really think homes can have ghosts and although I am having a hard time grappling with allowing myself to believe this I think overall if you feel it and sense it then it is likely true, at least to you . I think if you are talking about proving it to others that is very difficult as most people tend to only believe what they have experienced. However, for me because this house has such history I am going to look into the history here and try and understand what is going on. Friends have told me that I should just go with the feeling when I feel like there is a presence but for some reason I feel like I should not.
