Yeah, though your sign may be taurus, it is possible for your aspects and ascendents to be conflicting, thus leading to someone who is completely or partially opposite to what the regular taurus is. So simply knowing the sun sign won't always tell you what kind of person someone is.

Taurus is just being firm, not stubborn. I am Taurus and I never been stubborn in my life, just firm.

There are too many things to take into consideration other than just simply Sun sign Astrology. There are 3 most important things: Ascendant sign, sun sign and moon sign. Plus all the internal 'aspects' ie; personality traits. Taureans dont like surprises they like people on an even keel like themselves. Salt of earth, highly sexed very romantic pratical organisers, make excellent PA's secretaries. Can be possessive over 'things' not people like general consensus though.

There is lots more to Astrology than just simply Sun signs LOL

My daughter is a Taurus (she's on the cusp with Gemini) so we are very much alike. I love the ***** that comes along with being Taurus. We all seem to be pretty fun to hang out with! There is a great book called 'The Secret Language of Birthdays' written by Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elffers. I absolutely LOVE it! :smt060 Did you know that each sign has 4 phases to it? For instance: Taurus I is from April 25- May 2, Taurus II is May 3-10, Taurus III is May 11-18 and the last phase is called the Taurus-Gemini Cusp from May 19-24. I know each book varies little on the cusp thing, but this is what I've come to understand. Each phase of Taurus has a little bit of a different quality about it. That's only because of our Zodiac position when we are born,. This book explains it completely and right on if you ask me. It covers every phase of every sign and every day of the year. I got it 9 years ago from my Mother on Mother's Day--what an awesome gift! Anyway, I'd be happy to share anything from the book with anyone if they are interested. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi Debbie,
As I know there are 3 groups from each sign. Taurus, 1st decade is Taurus-Taurus (that is me), 2nd decade is Taurus-Virgo and 3rd decade is Taurus-Capricorn.
There in that book about Birthdays, where is Taurus born from April 21st-April 24th? They are for sure: Aries-Taurus!
As you say here, I am in the 1st group: Taurus I. What is important about Taurus I?

Debster was incorrect about decantes, Yelena is correct. This is more applicable for Ascendant signs though rather than Sun signs. This lady has Libra on Ascendant and this will add to the charm conversation and "Indecisiveness" should be better at starting projects than most and good at finishing because of the Taurean element. Taureans never give up on anything they start, have great persistance, salt of earth will do anything practicable for anyone. All the earth signs want to 'do' things, all the air signs want to 'talk about it' and the fire signs 'act first and think later' and finally all the water signs want to 'offer sympathy and cup of tea'

Again three most important things in a natal chart isAsccendant sign, Sun sign and Moon sign. To get a birth chart calculated for free go to www.astro.com click on free horoscopes, scroll down half the page to chart drawing. That will take you to an input page to put all your details. Remember to click on 'house system' and change to Equal house rather than the default placidus............. Now for FREE interpretations go to www.cafeastrology.com where you can get all the planets and houses explained free.

Enjoy. LOL

Default Taurus / astrology in general

I know there is much more to astrology than the daily horoscope, and I for one am not very educated in astrology. So, what I have to say is basically just my opinion, and not meant to offend anyone. I know my star sign, I know the star sign of all my family members, however, I don’t tend to put much stock in it. My reason for this is because I don’t believe our personality traits and life path are based on where/how the stars were aligned at our birth. I believe that our upbringing, social class, inner growth, religious beliefs (or lack of) amongst many other things have a huge affect on our personalities, and our life path. There are just too many variables. I can’t imagine that someone born in the exact same hospital as myself, at the exact same time, and the exact same day is going to be a mirror of me, or, let’s say, even have the exact same personality as me! Let’s face it, even twins have different personality traits that may or may not align with what their star sign suggests they should be. I guess I just have a difficult time with being labeled as this or that based on the date, time, and place of my birth. Yes, I’m a Taurus, and if this is being stubborn, then I guess you can perceive it as such. However, I feel that it was my life’s experiences that have shaped my personality traits and the direction of my life’s path, which by the way, have tremendously changed over the years. ;)

Default taurus is taurus is taurus

I am a student of astrology in a very amatuer way,, I have been married to a Taurus for 35 years,, he conforms to and follows every single trait that is applied to people born under this sign, the good and the not so good. Stubborn but reliable, loving but firm, generous with those he loves and considerate to all, most of the time,, he has also has traits that come from his lifes experiences,, this combines to maketh the man as they say. I am a firm beleiver that the entire universe contributes to the sort of person we are or become, and if this includes the pull and alignment of planets at moment of our conception and birth. But as they say we all have free will and choice,, so we can never blame our astrological sign for the person we become. Imo xx
