Default SPIRIT RETURN - proof of Life After Life....

Spirit Return

When our loved ones return...

Unlike our forum about ghosts, this forum is about spirits -conscious spirits- the spirits of the people we love who have passed to the next life. Please post your questions but also your experiences of spirits and the proof given to you that indicates that life continues after death.

For example:
Has someone returned to you as a spirit- perhaps you saw someone you loved?
Have strange coincidences happened to you when someone died- such as a clock stopping?
Has a medium given you rock solid proof that the dead live?
Have you dreamed about someone you love who has died?

...and so on. Post your questions and true stories.

i have had so many wonderful readings and so much personal proof for me .
but one stands out above the rest
i had a reading that brought through my aunt and although we called her aunt she was just a very special friend of the family who was like a mother to my own mum , the medium gave a lovely description and personality of my aunt , and although gave a few names did not give my aunts name , but that was fine as i was perfectly happy with the other evidence given
towards the end of the reading though the medium said that my aunt enjoyed reading with me and especially the book i was on at the moment .. i thought how lovely to know she reads with me
next thing the reader says that my aunt wants me to go to chapter 4 and read the heading ... so i did .. and couldnt believe my eyes when the heading read " A Gift From Grace "
this was of course my aunts name

isnt it amazing to think that spirit are not just living on .. but with us and so very close at times that they share in what we are doing

Did he come and see me do you think or was it just because i was lying there thinking about him one of his brothers was also in the dream

I have also been blessed by having many readings from the wonderful people here in delphi and some have really stood out perhaps too many to even begin to start on them but one reading I received really stood out, I was having a week where I seemed to get so many visitors from spirit, I'm not sure why but they obviously felt at the time I needed the support, anyway on this particular day I was in and it was M+Goathead (lovely Colette) who said to me is your dad in spirit, I answered yes, she said only hes stood here with a little boy and a little girl who I believe are your brother and sister, omg those words, my heart started racing. I have had many readings and even though I know in my heart they are altogether I wanted someone to show me this. The reading was amazing but I will never ever forget reading those words on the screen, it really meant the absolute world to me to know they are all there together and happy

I have also dreamt many times about my loved ones and actually other peoples loved ones who come to speak to me, one dream in particular stands out.

I was 10 at the time and I was dreaming about my little sister who had passed 3 yrs earlier, in my dream she had come to visit the junior school I went to as she was too also come to it, I could see her stood at the edge of the playing field looking out over it, we had so much fun on that field in winter sliding down the edge on our asda bags lol I couldnt wait till she could join in but then she seemed distant and the mood of my dream changed, she just stood there and I said you wont ever come on this field to play will you, she continued to stand there, it was then I woke up and cried for hours because I missed her so much, my best friend, I am pretty sure she just came to have a look round at what would have been her new school but I was so upset when I woke up

I am new to all of this and am trying to ajust. I am NOT a medium(i think)....My nephew died 4 months ago and has been communicating with/to me....He has his brother with him who passed shortly after he was born. :? I am trying to understand this. My husband and my mom are a little unnerved when I tell them what is happening. My sister, who lost her son, is the only one who is receiving this well. Her sons are giving her messages thru me. WHY DON'T THEY JUST speak to her directly? It is a thought that is not mine(a little persistant or pesky)....not in my ears, but thru my head...but the words are very clear. They talked to me of and on for 2 hours Friday night. I said, silently....."I am not going to deliver these anymore unless you give me something so I know this IS REAL!!!!" I am starting to thinl I AM going nuts!!!! One voice asked me.....Ask mom if she has looked at pictures of me in a box in the last 24 hours.......I said....OKAY I Will !!!!! So, the next day I asked her if she had been looking at pictures of chad in the last day or so...... She said NO..... So I blow the whole thing off..... Then they are not letting it go...... Then my sister told me a few days later that she had been going thru pictures in a box of aaron to put in the paper on the memorial of his upcoming birthday. I asked casually..."what day was that exactly?" Thursday or Friday..... So... I am saying silently..."sorry, I just didn't get the message right....." They were together and I mistook which one was talking. This almost made me cry when I thought about it. My husband told me to tell them to leave me alone for awhile. My sister likes the messages. She believes me....she says....I have to say I still doubt myself and I am looking for some support here. I just don't know where else to go. Not something easy to talk about. Thanks for any advice......Donna

Default Life After Death

My son died in a car accident when he was 24 years old. He died in Norfolk Virginia and I was living with my second husband(not my son's father) in Chicago.

My daughter-in-law called me and told me about my son's death. I wa all alone and I called my husband who was working about 15 minutes away. I don't know why but as soon as I told my husband what happened I could feel my son's arm's around me and him trying to comfort me. I also heard him talk to me but through telapathy not his voice.

I went to his funeral at Arlington Cemetary but we sayed a night at my x-husbands in North Carolina. I kept looking at my son's picture on the wall and I could see his lips moving and, again he was talking to me telepathacly. I thought I was going crazy. Well, when we went outside to get some air my daughter-in-law said the same thing that she could see the lips moving in my son's picture and he was talking to her. The strangest thing was he was telling her the exact things he was telling me.

Later, my daughter-in-law went to see the body because she is Phillipino and that is a ritual they do and take pictures of the body which was closed casket because of the accident. I refused to go and so did everyone else we just couldn't face it. Well when my daughter-in-law returned as soon as she came in the door I felt my son walk in the door with her. My youngest son, me and my daughter-in-law were all crying and I could feel my son's arms around us hugging us.

The best I can explain the feelings are that the feeling of my son's presence was more real that if he had been there standing in front of me because I could feel everything he was feeling and thinking.

Default Spirits and the dating game

I am a 46 year old man living in Florida and I have a vague amount of ability to sense psychic and paranormal phenomenon. My grandmother and my mother have this ability as well as an aunt on my father?s side of the family. My brother thinks we are all crazy because he has never experienced anything at all. I?ve run the gambit, pretty much. I?ve experienced just about everything from precognitive impulses to seeing apparitions. I could literally talk for a solid hour on the things that I have experienced. I lost my father to a heart attack in 1997 and last year on October 4th I was devastated by the sudden death of my young fianc?. I believe I have had signs from both of them. Most recently, I decided to try dating again. I met a woman who I am currently seeing. The other night she came over to my small home and cooked dinner for us at my fianc??s stove and then she went into the bedroom and moved a picture of my fianc? out of the way so that she could leave some personal items on the dresser top. As she sat down on the bed, a small rubber doll which I had found inside of a wall I had reconstructed suddenly flung itself off of a shelf near the dresser and landed out into the middle of the room! She called out to me in shock and kept swearing to me that she wasn't crazy! - LOL
That?s when I had to sit down with her and explain some things about my personal experiences and about the house. Since that night, she speaks to my fiance?s picture from time to time as if seeking her approval ? LOL.
I do believe it was my fiance's spirit that flung the doll that night, but I don?t think there was any anger involved. I think she's just telling me that she's looking out for me.
Does anyone have any input on this?
Thanks,
Matt

i hav had a few dreams in which passed loved ones hav come to visit me.
The first i had wen i was 15, my best friend died in a car crash and it was my first ever bereavement and i really didnt cope with it very well! There was a school disco approaching and i wasnt sure if i should attend as i thought it would be disrespectful. The night before the disco my friend came to me in a dream. He was bouncing around on a pogo-stick, hair flying everywhere and a huge grin on his face! He told me that he was fine, still having fun and that i should too. I went to the disco, and funnily enough myself and 2 other friends all "saw" him there before realising that he couldnt possibly be there physically. 3 of us saw him though at the same time - so im sure he came to join in the fun!

The second, my soulmate came to me in a dream shortly after he'd died. Again, i wasnt coping too well and in my dream myself and my children were sat on a sofa cuddling up together crying, and my soulmate was looking at us through a hole in the floor. He told me that this was wot it was going to be like from now on, our relationship had changed. He sed that although we couldnt see him, he was only a room away and would always be watching us!

The third, and final to date was again my soulmate. Both my daughter and I had the same dream on the same night and only realised wen we discussed it the next morning! In this dream he appeared to me (or my daughter) looking very happy and full of fun, and gave me a big hug. He told me that he didnt know why we were upset, that it was a conspiracy (his sense of humour!) he hadnt really died, he wasnt dead. I feel that he was trying to tell us that he lives on, although obviously not bodily/physically. Strange that both me and my daughter experienced the same dream on the same night tho!

I dont get many dreams worth remembering the morning after, but i feel that all 3 of these were loved ones coming back with very important messages to help us move on with our lives.

Some of my friends think I am "whacked out" while others have had their own experiences and can relate to me concerning my experiences. I simply speak of what I have experienced and accept the opinions of others with an open mind. This being said, I have many experiences to post, in due time.
For the moment, I would like to share some of the seemingly paranormal experiences I have had following the death of my father in 1997. I was living next door to my parents that year when my father died of a heart attack in his easy chair while watching TV. He was 73 and we all knew his health was bad.
About a month after my father's funeral service I had a dream. A dream that was as real as if I were awake. I was sitting on the edge of a bed in a small, 1940's era apartment. My father was dancing about the room wearing white pants, a white shirt with red vertical stripes, and a flat brimmed hat like those worn in the 1920's and 30's. He looked young again, around 30ish, and he looked happy. I asked him "Dad?,...where are we?". But he didn't answer. There was a woman in the kitchen wearing an apron and a dark blue dress with a white floral pattern. Her hair was dark and shoulder length and it was styled like that of the 1940's. I never saw her face and she appeared to be preoccupied with cooking. I walked out onto a screened in patio and was observing a beautiful tree lined lake with families swimming and laughing and playing. At this point I felt like pinching myself, so I decided to make some observations. I checked surfaces for fine textures and even noticed some inperfections. I felt the air temperature and the warmth of the sun (which seemed to have no source), and I looked at my own arm and rubbed it. My thoughts seemed clear, but where was I? I decided to walk outside of the screened enclosure. It was then that I noticed a bed of fluorescently bright flowers and I was mesmerized by their beauty. Then out of nowhere, two equally fluorescent butterflies the size of dinner plates whisked past my face and I could feel the air that they disturbed brush against my face!
I stepped back startled and at that moment, in a flash, I was laying my bed next to my sleeping girlfriend, staring at my bedroom ceiling, and the early morning sun was illuminating the blinds on my window. It was 8:00am, on a Saturday, and I was wide awake and confused as hell! Where was I now? Which reality was I in? I pondered the experience deeply for days
and then decided to dismiss it as a dream. Then one night I told my mother of the dream and she said that my father loved to dance when they were dating and that he once started wearing a hat like I described but she didn't like it and he stopped wearing it. She also told me that my father and her mother (my grandmother who passed before I was born) shared a special relationship because my father loved her cooking! I now began to feel that I had experienced more than a vivid dream and I felt comforted by the feeling that my father had contacted me in that way. I knew in my heart that he was ok.
Then one day a couple of years ago, I read an article on an afterlife website that stated that dreams involving a diseased loved one that include bright flowers and butterflies are reported very often and that such a dream is believed, by some, to be an instance where that spirit of the diseased brings your spirit over to the other side for a brief visit.
IF this IS true,.....I do not fear dying. This experience indicates to me that the consciousness survives intact and there awaits a world as fresh and alive as the one we know now. I personally am looking forward to it.

It sounds very much as though you became conscious while having an out of the body experience. When you are out everything is enhanced but it is the emotion which pulled you back into your body which makes me feel this could be what you were experiencing. There is a lot of information on the Internet about out of the body experiences (obe) and Nat who comes on these boards is very knowledgeable in this area and will probably pick up on your post and help with more information

They are wonderful experiences - fact, not fantasy, make-believe or dreams
