Default ouija board

 whoever came up with the idea that 'bad' spirits are more attracted to the ouija board?has anyone actually had a bad experience themselves who lived to tell the tale?It seems to me that it has been ingrained into peoples memories that the board is bad and evil,Im not a ouija board user and I remember all the tales I heard as a kid which scared the hell out of me!! lol !!How does anyone know if it really works?I do believe now that there is a chance that unconsciously you move it.But saying that it could be for real and maybe the stories are true of peoples hair turning grey over night, upside down crosses appearing on walls/floors,unexplained bad luck(you get my drift)

The problem with the ouija board elvira is that people with no understanding or knowledge of spirit play with it; this in itself attracts playful spirits, if it is not an unconscious moving by any of the sitters. Some of these people are pure wind-up merchants and have nothing better to do than laugh at us on earth who may be using the ouija board because we want to contact someone we love who is now in spirit.

They can spell out anything they like, there is nothing or no one to stop them and if we are silly enuf to believe it, as some do, it can be very worrying.

If people want to contact spirit, and I hope they do, because we came from spirit and one day will be returning home, the more we know about it all, therefore, the better informed will we be. I would recommend people visit a Spiritualist church or a medium, find some decent books on the subject and dont try to take too much on board, too quickly, sit before you crawl before you walk before you run.

I've personally never used a board or tarrot cards, although my step daughter gave me a reading from "ferry cards", she also made it clear that it was for "entertainment purposes" which is exactly how i saw it in the first place...

I don't know if people are using quija boards for "entertainment" purposes only, ( not to be taken litterally or with any real seriousnous), or wether people are using the source as a way to contact spirits for real information with a fee involved- also a client and the medium should state right up front get that straight, I don't look for real insight or any seriousness from tarrot cards, would i pay for this service for the fun of it ......sure if it is cheap and i wanted to have some fun

I'm really rather green on the buisness, I just know I do have certain abilities/ gifts and I'm just trying to find an understanding that works for me

my search has lead me to many avenues, ie) Indigo, giftedness forums (IQ) etc... mental illness, spiritual , paranormal etc

I am not sure how you came to this conclusion. I said nothing about you having control over anyone else, but did comment on us all having control over ourselves.

"Allowing For" - as in finding room in your thoughts for - not (just) "Allowing" - as in you having veto other others.

I also did not say anything about dangers or not either way - that is totally irrelevant to my opinion that progression is open to everyone which is what my comments clearly referred to, so I am not sure why you are defending your right to think there are dangers or not - regardless of what you interpret a danger to be. You can think what ever you like, about anything you like, ... but so can I. xxx

Hi all. I have read some interesting posts. I personally don't like boards, as i have had bad experiences with them. I started using them with friends as a game, and soon found it wasn't. A short time after we begun using boards i found myself "channeling" or something like that, without any choice. It soon got to the point where i would only need to be in the room to have this happen. I still sometimes worry that this could happen again without me knowing it.

I do not think it is wrong so much because it is dangerous, rather i feel that you never know what you will get, or the validity of the information you recieve. I feel that it is not a game or a toy and should be treated seriously.

Stay safe,

kylie

Hello, I am new to this forum. I have used the ouija board years ago when I was a teen. All of the answers were correct and future predictions did come true. The only scary thing that ever happend was when I asked if anyone was with us, and if so to give me a sign. The candle on the dresser fell on its side and poured hot wax on my leg. guess I should not have asked for a sign. LOL. My personal opinion is that the board is not evil, bad , etc. It is just a board. Most tools used to communicate with spirits are simple objects with no power. The object used is simply a tool for focusing. A mood setter if you will. Again, this is my opinion.
I do however have a question. this is for those of you who have been studying and researching this kind of stuff for a long time. Is it actually spirits answering us, or is it our subconcious, or intuition answering us? this is something I have just recently started to question. I look forword to chatting more with you all.
Peace and Love,
Rebie

Default Ouija boards....

Years ago (circa 1970) my sister & her girl pals decided to "Have a laugh" and use the Ouija board....the "spirit" or entity that came through said he was a young boy named Jack who had died in the Second World War...
and he wanted to contact a man named David living in Corwall, England....the girls became frightened by this, one girl named Sandra had a "funny turn", and fainted....
they all decided NEVER to use the board again....

A number of years later (circa 1995 or so) we were watching TV when a BBC News programme spoke of a foursome in Bristol, England, who had experienced a very nasty situation when useing the ouija board....
they were doing it out of interest....when one woman fainted and they all felt ill...
they said during the sitting a "spirit" or entity of a young boy named Jack who was killed
in the Second World War came through....
My sister watching this was horrified...!!!

A co-incidence....?

You tell me......

One thing I would add to this...I saw a programme "Ghosthunters"....a very well made series that took an open minded approach, never judgmental indeed quite balanced and sensible...

They had a priest on who spoke candidly about Ouija boards (he did excorcisms...),
he said to start with you get good, accurate, indeed useful information (to get you "hooked"....like a card player "wins" to start with....),
but then somewhere along the line the info changes tack....
and becomes more sinister....and frightening....
he said some suseptable people can suffer mental illness as a result.

While Psychics and mediums "know what they are doing" and have their own defences...the average person doing the Ouija "for a laugh" or "out of interest"...can put themselves in a vulnerable position...

One psychic chap in the show says you are opening a "door"....(like your front door)...if you left your front door open sooner or later an "undesireable person" will walk into your house and do damage...
he said thus with ouijas for the unprepared - they can be putting themselves at risk...
not even neccessarily from any "spirits" or other entities...
but from their OWN minds...

Just one problem.

I sat for 8 years to be able to make a link with spirit. Are you telling me I should have used a ouija board and it would have been immediate?

Something just does not make sense here

Hi !
I have NO idea at all....!
The ouija DID seem to affect my sister's friend Sandra very badly...But of course, as the guy in that programme said, possibly it was Sandra's own mind causing her problems...
I think the average person can be affected by a ouija...but it may have nothing to do with spirits at all...
it could just be their own minds "tripping them up" as it were....
like some folks are much more imaginative or atristic than others etc....
Mediums know what they are doing...the everyday person does not always go into these things prepared I guess...
