Default Should Mediums make money from their 'gift' ?

This causes some controversy in the rooms from time to time. Peoples opinions differ as to whether a medium should charge money to give readings.
For many reasons, I personally believe that Mediums do have the right to earn a living just as much as a talented singer or artist for example has the right. What do others think ??

I agree mediums and psychics have the right to charge for services rendered. They have to pay bills just like anyone else. If a medium/psychic had to earn a living by other means and then try to squeeze in numerous free readings for all those that want them they would have no life of thier own.

And I would say most mediums/psychics give allot of free readings and psychic help out of the goodness of thier heart anyway....Sue

Yep i agree, mediums and psychics have to earn a living and pay bills just like anyone else so why not charge for it.

I believe that it is up to the individual, whether they charge or not. After all you wouldnt expect an experienced plumber or electrian to not charge. The idea that we shouldnt charge is not fair really we have to pay for our development, and sometimes this can be quite expensive. We also have to buy things like Tarot if you use them. These things do not come cheap.
So to charge in order to enhance your natural ability seems fair. In todays world we all have to eat and we all have bills to pay, some are full time Mediums. they have no other income. Some like me are Partime and i charge in order to pay to further myself.

this has been an issue for me . I know that in past years some lucky people had sponsors - or were kept going by getting food for readings .

but in todays world where money is a necessity almost, then i have to charge for my services .
and it is a service - if u want a plumber to mend a leak it caosts - if u want an accountant to save u tax it costs - so therefore if u want to hear from a medium it costs -
however i do not believe in charging exhorbitant prices - having read in a newspaper that selfridges ( or was it harrods ) in london now have psychics in the basement ( what a place to have them !) charging upwards of ?5 for a 5 min read - i feel that i am more the ******* end of the range !

Personally, I couldn't ask people for money for healings that I do. Seeing as it's a gift that's been given to me to help others.

i guess its very much a personal thing which depends on personal circumstances. i would find it easy to charge for psychic readings however i would find it less acceptable to charge for spirit readings as i would prefer to be able to 'give' a spirit read than charge for it. healing, for me, is something that should be given freely with love, and without charge.

maybe a bit old fashoined of me but i am old \/

No..i don't think they should charge money. And you can not ressamble your gift to a service like being a plumber or anything in this matter. This is something divine that we all are part of.
A more acceptable thing would be donations. Have a donation box. If someone wanna give money then it's there choice. No one forced them or asked them to.

Slumber..you seem tobe in a hurry if i'm correct..right?..hmmm.....
