You are obviously having what are known as precognitive (knowing in advance) dreams. As we are all (by virtue of being a spirit in a physical body) psychic to greater or lesser degrees, you will find many people have similar experiences where they have picked up upon future events in altered states such as sleep/ dreaming simply because we are more receptive in such states. But what does this mean I hear you ask, ... well it means you are sensing with your spiritual faculties in this state rather than your physical senses. As for where this info comes from, ... each of us has an energy field/ aura surrounding us which contains info past present and (arguably) forseeable future which can be tapped in to, ... so if these events relate to yourself or people known to you it is probably coming from this level, ... if it is more so about world events etc, then the simplest explanation I could give you came from one of my own dreams. In it I asked a medium how he was able to predict the future regarding global events, ... and he said "the same way I read a person's aura, ... except it is like feeling a really big aura". Sounded like a reasonable response to me.
Hopefully that was a sufficient enough explanation for you.

I too dream of thing to come. But mine are like once every 2-3 months. Also I am always sleep but on the boundary of waking up. Half-asleep I guess they call it. So any noise will awaken me. That means when i was dreaming 6 million dollar lotto numbers, a noise woke me before I could get all the numbers. There were six numbers and I got the first four exactly as they came out. I have one question. What do you do before you sleep and have these prophetic dreams? |

It seems that you are not the only one to have dreams of this sort. I also have had premanitions in dreams. The most memorial of these happened about a month ago: I dreamed that a white car was involved in an accident near an intersection with a shopping center. In the dream, the white car appeared to wreck with a tour bus, and there was a lot of dark ****** material around the wrecked car. Approximately three days later, I was driving my white Mitsubitchi in the parking lot of a local shopping center at sunset, when the sun was reflected off of the windows of a passing tour bus temprarily causing sunblindness. I was attempting a left turn and did not see a maroon moped that had just passed through the intersection until I was almost upon him. I stopped short of hitting him, but he lost control of his moped and cracked up on my front bumper. All of his plastic guards, Remember that they were maroon, the color of dark blood, were shattered around the front of my car. Fortunately, no one was injured, but it seems to be a little much for pure coincidence, don't you think.
Also about a week ago, I began to dream about a funeral that I was attending, less than 5 hours after waking up, I learned that my 18-year-old second cousin had died in horrible circumstances, and 4 days later an uncle of mine died of liver cancer. Coincidentally, the second cousin was the grandson of my uncle's only brother, and was named for him. Another interesting coincidence that might be considered is that I have noticed that deaths always come in threes. My mother's mother died two weeks before my ninth birthday, my father's father died two weeks after my ninth bitrhday, and my nanny's only great granddaughter died on my ninth birthday. My grandmother died after striking her head on a storm grate, my grandfather died in the middle of a thunderstorm, and my nanny's granddaughter died of a drowning incidence. I had been having many dreams about water in the days and weeks preceeding the deaths. Since that day, I have given great credence to the matter in my dreams. |

Hi ! I have been seeing the future in my dreams and when I *space out * since I was a child.I can se ethings that happen tomorrow or things that will happen 3 years from now.I have saved my ex-boyfriend about 2 timesfrom bad incidents.I first thought Oh man! I hope he does not thinkIm crazy but I have to tell him, both times I was right about a place he was going to.My tip would be if you get something scary word it nicely and only tell people close to you. Many individuals simply dont know how to handle psychic dreams or visions. |

I too have dreams that come true, sometimes it can be simple things like dreaming of someone I haven't seen for ages then the next day bump into them or I dream about a person and a situation they are in.I remember I dreamt about an old friend, whom I hadn't seen in a couple of years, mayby longer and the next day I bumped into them.I tole her I had dreamt about her the night before, she was always interested in my dreams, and that she had been crying in my dream beceause her husband wouldn't let her go on holiday because she had loads of dogs to look after her.It turned out she had been arguing with her husband because he wanted to go on holiday but she wanted to go and buy a king charles puppy,he told her they wouldn't be able to go on holiday if they had a dog to look after!
The most scary though was when I had a terrible, vivid dream in which I was sorting out toys, packing them away in boxes and I was surrounded in a really thick fog. Next thing I could hear the sound of a very loud engine like an aeroplane.I couldn't see where it was coming from and started to run away from it.The next thing I know it crashed and their was this blinding light followed by a burning sensation which is still clear to me to this day, a voice then said goodbye little children. At this point I thought my dream was real,I usually know when a dream is a dream but this time I thought "oh no this has really happened". I woke up at this point and woke my boyfriend up,I always tell him my dreams especially ones like that as it can really shake me up. I then got up and went downstairs in which I turned the television on, there staring back at me was a news report saying a plane had crashed in Afghanastan in thick fog. It had been on a humanatarian mission and it was taking provisions and toys over for children. I don't think it could have been a coincidence although I wonder why I have dreams like this. It's not as if I can do anything to prevent it. :?: |

I had a dream this morning unlike any other before. Just like with roofee13, I was there, present and active in the scene of an accident that was actually occuring at the same time on the other side of the US.
The details were the same...three big rigs on a two lane highway in a forested area in a major accident at 10 am EST (just before I got up for school at 7:20 am PST)...not such a common occurrance, and not in the way it happened both in my dream and in real life. Without getting into too much detail about the dream here, I did have the sense of injuries to people. In fact, two people died. I was an observer in the dream, though the car in which I was sitting, was hit by flying debris. I also call 911 in the dream. When I woke up from the dream, I attributed it to a TV show I watched last night where a station wagon in a desert got plowed into by a big rig truck. Not very similar really, but I had to figure out why I had had such a crazy vivid dream about trucks. But then I heard the news blurb on NPR radio report a couple of hours later. I just finished looking into local news reports and videos in North Carolina...the scene of the accident is the same as in my dream. I'm bit spooked, and very excited. I have always had weak premonitory dreams, sometimes of events that come to pass in months or even years in the future. And I also do not remember my dreams too well, or regularly. This dream marks a turning point? How can continue to develop this? |

I know what is going to happen , but not in dreams. It just dawns on me that such and such will happen. Sometimes it takes several years before it will happen. Sometimes the same day. When I was in my early 20's I was driving behind a logging truck and I got a weird scary thought that someday one of the vertical metal beams that hold the wood in was going to come off and head stright for my car. I waited for this to happen for about5 or 6 years. Every time I would come up behind one I would remember the premenition. Well as you could guess, it did eventually come true. Thank God I was alone in the car and no one was comming the other way. The truck was empty of wood so there was nothingto keep the beams taught. One let go and bounced end over end going 50 miles an hour stright at the windshild of my car. I swerved just in time and as I glanced over the bar was exactly where my car would have been. It would have come stright thru the glass and into my face. WOW. If I hadn't been on the look out for it to happen I would be dead today.
So anyway, What do you call it if it always while you are awake instead of in your dreams? I am still learning , But then I always said I was a sponge. :smt051 |

This is amazing. Could one practice somehow to get precognitive dreams ? Or does it depend only on how the person was born ?

A couple of years ago, as I was driving along for about 3 days straight, I got this feeling that something was going to happen in the near future where 2 cars ahead of me would stop suddenly while driving along and I would have to swerve off the side of the road, almost on the sidewalk where pedestrians where walking, in order to avoid hitting the car ahead of me. Well, you guessed it, 3 days later the exact same circumstances happened as I was driving - - and due to the precognitive warning, I was able to keep full control of the car and not hit the car ahead of me by swerving off the side of the road - - just as I had been warned. There was no pile up and no pedestrians were injured.
Another time I had a precognitive dream - - I had been having some trouble with a co-worker (in real life). I had a dream about her and she made some smart remark to me in the dream. Well, the next day, I went to work thinking about this dream/co-worker and wouldn't you know it - - she made the same smart remark to me in real life as she had the night before in the dream - - and was I ready for her!! |
