Hi !
Just wondering what peoples opinions of coming back as an animal are? Do we only have human past lives or do we mix into the animal kingdom? I read that in Hinduism it is believed that the soul of any living being(human, animal, plant) reincarnating is linked to karma. Personally, I think that animals energy is very different to human energy if that makes sense...like a different vibration. I think that animals have their own spirit and that the essence and spirit of animals still exists after death and continues on within its own level or plane I suppose... but I dont think we reincarnate as animals. If I gave my perception of it an analogy, I would say its like we all work for the same company(animal and human spirits) but in different offices but we can meet for lunch and tea breaks. What do you think?

Hi Stacy.
I agree with you that we do not re-incarnate as animals. In fact I personally do not believe that we re-incarnate at all. However I am open to be persuaded if someone comes up with evidence. I believe that once we leave our earthly bodies we return home to spirit and never return to this world. |

Spirit teachers tell us that if you are a human being you cannot ever come back as an animal

I personally believe that it is possible. I don't believe there to be any limitations on one species' ability to reincarnate as another. Therefore, I believe that animals can reincarnate as humans, and vice-versa.

You may believe whatever you wish, just as we all can but when Spirit Teachers use entranced mediums to bring us such teachings, I would tend to give them more credit than you appear to do, but that is your choice.

I agree with Mahzes and think that being human is an earthly condition and not a spiritual one. When you leave your body you leave human nature and your ego behind.
I also believe in reincarnation and that there are many lessons to be learned from living an animal life which may be necessary for our spiritual evolution. If you do not feel this way perhaps it may be important to your evolution to take another path. Like Mahzes I dont believe spirituality and the universe to have any limitations. Five years ago I would have never have thought like this but I have formed these opinions through personal experiences I have had. |

I think if reincarnation did exist, there's no reason for animals to be left out of it. After all, we all have a common ancestor if we go back far enough. At the point before humans evolved, if a soul existed, it would have to be a non-human soul.
As to whether or not it might regress, not sure, depends on whether or not you think souls can regress, and if humans are really a higher form than animals. |

It would be nice to think that we become perfect when we leave our bodies at the point of death. That would mean that people like Hitler, Idi Amin and many others changed into amazing spiritual beings when they left the physical bodies behind - I wish! We are exactly the same one second after death as we were before; dying does not make us spiritual beings, we are already that but many people do not have that realisation and act accordingly for a long long time. What would be the point in coming back to earth over and over again, to learn lives lessons, if we just turned into wonderful spiritual beings at death; it would not really be worth the effort. We do not come back as animals no matter how lovely you may consider that to be, personally the thought horrifies me but as I do not consider reincarnation to be factually based, then I dont worry about it. What does concern me is that people can think that we can become, or have been animals. I realise that to many I come across as being very dogmatic and opinionated and for this I am sorry, but what I am sharing with you is information given to the world by spirit teachers, who are highly evolved spirit beings (still human) and their teachings are available to everyone and if reincarnation as animals was a fact, I am sure I would have come across it at some point and until I do, I tend to accept what makes sense to me and being an animal doesnt; I prefer to have a logical, thinking mind, rather than one which is concerned with its next meal, finding a mate or just surviving. The higher minds of spirit tell us animals are of the earth and are here to help us learn; how to live with, and look after, them and unfortunately we are not doing a very good job there.

I personally feel a very strong connection to other animals, the earth, plants and wildlife around me. I have read some very moving near death experiences of people who now feel a stronger empathy towards animals and are more in tune with nature since their experience. This is the website. www.near-death.com/index.html |

I personally believe in the progression theory. I do have a theoretical belief that all living things, plants, animals, humans, etc have souls. And I do believe we reincarnate from plants, animals, and then humans, to progress back a species or two we have to be quite evil. I do believe it's possible that Saddam for example could come back as an animal considering hs evil deeds in this life. But anyway, as far as species/aliens from other planets and worlds, I still haven't figured out where they would go. And also with plants it's tricky, because of the regrowth of the same plant and things of that nature.
