About 10 years ago, I saw a woman 'psychic' in Victoria, London, UK. She said she was from Brazil and gave her name as Mrs Stephenson. She charged me ?25 to do a reading in my absence with photos of me and my boyfriend at the time. She took the photos and asked me to come back with the result of her 'reading' which picked up a problem at work. She said that I was working with 2 'evil' women. The work colleagues were giving me some grief due to a disagreement/misunderstanding but I wouldn't describe them as evil. The 'psychic' then requested ?1000 to help me with the 2 work colleagues. I walked out without paying. My boyfriend was driving a van which crashed - did she try to put a curse on him/us? He survived with just a broken collarbone so an angel may have been looking after him. He could have been killed.
I shouldn't have paid ?25 for a reading in my absence. Did she ask a psychic friend to do the reading? As she didn't do a proper reading in front of me, she's definitely a fake psychic greedy for money (that's why I've put 'psychic' and 'reading' in quotes). Most unprofessional. |

Hi curious,
It is very sad that women like this give genuine psychics a bad name. You were right not to pay her. She was making it up to get money! And as for your boyfriend's accident I would not credit her with the ability to do this. Curses only work if the person 'cursed' believes it will. So put it out of your mind and just think about how much wiser you are now. AMP xxxx |

Thank you AMP. I ask God to protect me from any ill will/curse. How can you tell if someone is a genuine psychic - ie someone who does use genuine psychic ability and who doesn't cold read? What would a genuine psychic do if they don't have all the information about someone they're doing a reading for or if they're asked questions they're unable to answer without resorting to cold reading?

Curious, if you are looking for a genuine psychic reader then I would always go on a recommendation. Secondly, you are perfectly within your rights to refuse to pay at the end if you are not satisfied. A good psychic would be happy to admit that they cannot, at that particular time, pick up anything from you for whatever reason. I for one would willingly admit if I couldn't answer a particular question rather than just make it up. I feel that is much more professional.

Thanks AMP. I believe in honesty - admitting it if you don't know something. In my view, a genuine psychic has sixth sense but cannot pick up everything they're asked about. It's better to focus on what a psychic does know.
