Hi,

When I think genetics, I usually think science. It has been said a lot that psychic abilities and science could not work that well together.
I have studied genetics a bit in high school and it's all about genes and chromosomes which each allow us to gain our own identity. The unicity of the human being lies in genetics.
Possessing psychic abilities is a strong value of unicity. Unicity to unicity, I guess we really can talk about genetics, Family tree, and so on when it comes to psychic abilities.

yes what maryhem also interest me, you know many film like guiness world record shows one family have and unusual magnetic ability, people shold investigate what kind of genes that are different from normal people. hmmm very curius :roll:

I think it could be genetic in a sense. I know my Mom and all the other women on my Mom's side of the family are gifted. Including myself.

BUT, I do also think that we all have the gene somewhere. Like anything else, it takes time, dedication and practice. And like anything else, some get it easier than others.

We can all play baseball... but we can't all play professional baseball.

My Great grandmother was Irish, and done readings between 1900 and 1960, she brought my father up as his mother died young. My dad used to see people coming to the door and him and his brother had to go and sit in the bedroom till the people went, as mediumship was frowned upon by many in they days,.
So yes i think we can inherit the abilkity, but also everyone is born with it to a certain degree, just depends on if the person chooses to develope their sixth sence.

I am told my great aunt was a medium, she was on my fathers side of the family. However, my mother is very intuitive as also are my children.

i'm new to this site <33 anyways
i starting so think its genetic in the women in my moms side of the family because my grandmother was a medium, but too busy to develope much, my mom has visions of family deaths and wakes up at the time of their death, i'm a medium myself, and now my baby cousin that is a girl(form my moms brother) is now showing signs of being a medium, but its only in the women, its kind of weird.

I do not have any proof of how genetics play the role, but I have it strong like my dad, and mom and my brother are "sensitive".

i belive everyone has this gift. but alot of ppl dont know how to use it. My mom could sence things, and even sometimes she would dream something and it would happen, i too along with my brother and sisters also have done this too. i hopefully will develope my gift more, but i feel like i need to be taught before i went into it seriously

We all have the ability to develop psychic abilities. It is dormant within each and every human being and is located within our CHAKRA systems.
However, some people are born with the gifts of them being open. This can be due to either family genetics - (In my family both my grandmother and mother also were quite the intuitives - but I was born clairvoyant.

But also it can be due to lifetimes of developing skills that we bring with us from one lifetime to another.

Once spirits evolves it does not devolve.

As the spiritual beings we are, we are constantly evolving our true essence.

Yes psychic ability is genetic. If it is not wanted it will not develop further unless the person uses it or wants to develop it. Sometimes it passes on only thru females of the families, sometimes from males to males, sometimes from father to daughter or mother to son, and sometimes it can even skip generations.

However, it can also be earned when your soul advances and reaches the next level. (There are many levels of spiritual enlightenment which our soul goes through in each lifetime we live.)

Psychic ability can also be obtained suddenly in the midst of this lifetime if a person experiences a tramatic experience, accident, or NDE (near death experience).

If it is due to a tramatic experience (such as child abuse or a serious accident) it is usually a bonus gift to help strengthen that person's protective shield (an added sense to help aid that person through their troubled life).

If it is from NDE it might have been something which they were to obtain when they died and reached the next level but because they returned (either brought back or sent back), they ended up bringing this ability back with them (much to their surprise).
