i wasn't meaning to bring it down to just genetics. i believe in the heart also. i don't think your going to be able to bend a fork with telekinesis because you listen to your heart. i believe a lot of things about our hearts and i believe they even have their own language, that we can learn to use as pure understanding. this would cancel out any language barriers and the bible talks about prophets that spoke in tongues so that no matter the language of the individual they still would be understood. if you find yourself bending spoons or starting fires with your mind and still don't believe its genetics let me know.

In my personal opinion being able to bend spoons is still not genetic we use such a small portion of our brains if we unlocked them fully just imagine the possabilitys. So maby people who can bend spoons or move objects can do so because they have been able to acsess a part of their brain that in many is dormant. But I still do not believe it to be genetic

i didn't at 1st either. until science decided to try to explain. eventually they tested the genetics of people that had telekinesis and found they had a more complex genetic code. i believe everything will eventually connect in a grand pattern to form a more perfected human being. again i wasn't limiting it to just genetics but from what i understand it is part of the process and theres no doubt in my mind that they are using a part of the brain that not to many people learn how to use in their lifetime. i try to accept every possibility until i know it's no good to continue with for my growth. just wondering why you would put down bad rep on something like this? when it has great potential.

just to clear something that might be lingering. i strongly believe that we are the masters of our own body and with proper training. we can control and rebuild our genetics to continue in our growth. i don't want anyone to take this as something that is unchangeable. faith is the key to great miracles. take this for example. in our spiritual development we take certain steps to understand our beings, spirits, and what we can do with them combined in full consciousness. as we develop a fuller connection with spirit, cant it be possible that this process has actually changed your genetic code and brain function to become more accurate, more complete? i think it is. i think it all connects together and i try to find those connections.

My grandmother has the 'gift', my biological father had it and my sister just recently got in tune with it. I've been spiritual all of my life and have seen spirits and just sortof known what was going to happen. I never knew my biological father, but I've heard that he was very psychic. My Grandma and I have discussed our abilities since I've gotten older and my sister just has started to accept her gifts. So even if it is a genetic thing, we never discussed it and it ws never common practice in our house, is just turns out after all of these years that several people in my family have it--including my 2 children. When my son was younger he could feel things in color. I know that may sound strange, but if he had a belly ache he would feel orange. If he was happy he'd feel yellowy and so on. He thought it was just normal to feel that way. My daughter sees colors around people and says that the angels help her in school (but they won't give her answers

As for knowledge, ...I just have an unusually good memory which comes in handy ..lol. As for mediumship, ... I am the most backwards medium imaginable - so much so I asked my teacher a couple of months ago why it is when all aspects basically use the same abilities am I better at trance work than spirit links, and better at spirit links than psychic readings, and her answer was simple but made absolute sense, "it's coz you trust spirit more than you trust yourself", ...and that is totally true, if it's in my face I'll run with it, if it's subtle I question it/myself, ...and that is probably not very developed when spirit need to smack me in the head to get my attention ...lol. As for the moral radar, der, of course I am big on how people treat each other, but I am not completely immune to biting someone without batting an eyelid if they bite first, are mistreating/disrespecting someone without provocation, causing harm to someone, or animals are involved that can't speak for themselves ... and I am not sure if that is a 'good or bad' thing. Where do you balance being tolerant with standing up for things? I have no idea, so I guess I'll just be me, try to do unto others and all that jazz, and honestly, as long as it is no worse than earth, I'll take anywhere I end up in spirit as a bonus, coz here is not so bad ...lol. As for aim's within mediumship, ... my dev teacher has often said she does not want anyone to be as good as her, she wants everyone to be better than her, because that is when she can consider she has done her job with the next generation, ... and I have responded, 'good, coz I'm not aiming for your knees' ...lol. Never settle for where you perceive anyone else to be, coz you might be limiting yourself when you could sail over their heads,(or have already done that) ... and that may not be in the same manner, ... the 'book of mediums' (or indeed people) has many chapters and all of them are necessary to make it a fluent read. Psychic abilities are passed on through a shifting of moral fiber with the help of genetics and the way we live.
Basically you can potentially have the power or ability to see beyond, but choose to suppress because society cannot accept such an ability. Usually one can attain such abilities through connecting with the forces around you, this usually begins with your family e.g brother, sister, mother, father. I have a weird psychic ability, it's usually things i don't want to know about e.g. death and lies. I have taught myself how to suppress these abilities because i unfortunately suffer the burden knowing when death is coming for others. What I'm trying to say is that we pass these abilities through a belief system |

My ancestors are the romany gypseys...and quite a few people in my family have a sort of gift in feeling and seeing spirits...although only some choose to practise this.
I think it genectic in the sense it comes through easier, however I also think anyone could become psychic will practise. |

I have a very unique perspective on this conversation. I have had the ability to sense spirits my entire life. No one else in my family could- at least I assume they couldn't because they dismissed me when I would speak about it. So I quit talking about it and just kept my experiences to myself, thinking I was crazy or something. Since I've been with my husband, I've been able to be more open with it for the past 19 years. This past July, I found out I was adopted. I met my birthmother in September. VERY strong Catholic. I asked my husband if he thought I should ask her if she has any "abilities". He said no, not yet, because it's too early in our relationship to freak her out. I agreed, but I was VERY curious. The last night before she went back home, me, hubby, my 2 sons, my birthmother, and my birthsister all went out to dinner. I don't know how it happened, but she started talking about the spirits in her house and how they have plagued her for years. I just looked at my husband. My birthsister was practically sliding under the table, she was so embarrassed! She thought my husband and I were looking at each other thinking, "Ok, this woman is a nut case!". I told my birthmother about my abilities. She said she had no idea why she even brought the topic up. It was something she absolutely never brought up with anyone. I know why- I was supposed to know. So yes, I do think it can be a strictly genetic trait.
