Hello Grace

I would be very interested to know which scriptures you are reffering to when you make your references?

Regards

Marc

Marc - It is my pleasure to include scripture references. Im breaking up my original quote so I can give corresponding scriptures. Of course I encourage people to look up the scriptures themselves

Quote:
1 third of the angels chose to follow the god of this world - they are commonly called demons.
The most renowned indication of the Rebellion in Scripture can be found in Isaiah 12.12 which begins with "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!". Jesus also outlines how He saw Satan fall like lightning from the sky in Luke 10.18.

Jude 6 - "...And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode"

Interestingly please note also Jude 8 "Yet, Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared ont bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!". This scripture denotes two major truths (a) Michael contends against a force that is opposed to God and (b) that Michael himself does not take it into his hands to rebuke or accuse (he knows he is not God) but leaves that up to the Lord God.

Quote:
The rest stayed with God (Yahweh) and continue to serve Him.
These are mostly referred to as Angels of the Lord or Angels of God - see: Gen 31.11, Ex 14.19. They have different titles such as Seraphim, Cherubim and/or hosts. Two renowned Angels that serve and carry messages for God are Gabriel and Michael seen in Mark 1.6, Luke 1.19 and also Rev 12.7, 8.

Matthew 25.31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory." Here we can see (btw Jesus speaks here) that there are indeed specific holy angels that are with Jesus.

Quote:
They minister to people and protect according to His will.
Ex 23.20
2 Sam 24.16 - account of an angel just about to destroy Jerusalem but was commanded by God to refrain due to Gods mercy.

Quote:
They are not subjective to humans but to God alone.
See scriptures above and also see above where I have outlined that even Michael does not do things of his own accord. They are created - the angelic!

Quote:
They will never allow glory or honour to fall upon themselves but do the work of the Father in Heaven.
They are charged by God see Ps 91.11. Also in Matthew 18.10 Jesus says "...their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost" Context: speaking of either child or believer for even the angels given to watch over people, always follow the leading of God first, not the commands or requests of mankind.

Quote:
Our Father in Heaven loves us so much & He will most definitely send His Angels to protect, guide and minister. However, it is not the will of God that we worship His created Angels, rather the Creator - God Himself through His son.
Um...how many of the hundreds of scripture references do you actually want me to give that clearly state we are to only worship God Himself and no other?

Have a great day, Grace.

Edited to include quote highlight that I previously missed.

From a different point of view:

First question:

Quote:
is it possible for an angel to fall in sins and become a demon?
What if all human souls were once angelic souls. What if "we angels" once turned from God and fell from his grace. What if God (who is merciful) offered us life as both a punishment and a chance at redemption and forgiveness. And so maybe those of us who have been born into this world are the fallen angels who were deceived by Satan and have accepted God's punishment and are now supposed to try and live the good life to gain redemption.

Second question:

Quote:
Which one is more respectable human or angel?
Following above logic, human and angel are the same. Humans are fallen angels trying to get back into God's Fold. Angels are beings who never left God's side.

Demons are fallen angels who won't accept God's punishment (they want redemption without punishment) and are angry at human souls for accepting the cycle of life. They don't want humans to suceed.

Note: there is no reference book on any of the above thoughts. It's just something I've been thinking about when trying to understand original sin and why God would punish everyone for a sin made by two ancestors. If we all collectively sinned against God before we were born, and this life is our chance for redemption and it makes sense we would choose to live. Otherwise if unborn souls are sinless, no one would ever choose to be born into a world of sin and take the chance of losing God forever.

I also personally believe that God sent his son Jesus Christ to the world to show us the path to redemption, and many of his parables, especially the one about the rich man with the two sons: the responsible one and the spendthrift, reflect the above ideas. Of course I could be totally wrong but this is how I answer that famous question: Who am I and why was I born.

Default Demons in the world debate

I feel a lot of tension here. Seems like there is a big debate going on between the Christian Religions and the Spiritualists. It also feels like it's getting out of hand for this forum. It reminds me when a certain religious group knocked on my door several years ago and talked me into studying their religion with them. I almost converted. My point here is I didn't think this forum was for debating which religions were the "right" religion for all but to respect each individual's religion - period. Can we stop bickering now?

????? :?

Personally, ....and I guess it is a matter of perspective, ...but I see no bickering here. There has been differing views on opinions, people stating opinion as fact, some telling others they are just wrong without being able to prove that is correct, ...but bickering? No, sorry, I can't see it.

My thoughts:

Angels have never been incarnated into life. They are the essense of unconditional love. They will never be demons.

The devil or fallen angel is really just the darkness that exists in (hu)man's thoughts - a parable or an allegory.

No such things as angels.

LOL, yeh there is.

There are no such thing as demons or satan or hell, there is no punishment but ourselves punishing ourselves to the abys or Noir where we segregate ourselves from God even though God loves all, through their turning away from God. Those spirits are known as dark entities.
Angels are entities that are in their own division on the other side, they are neither male or female but appear very beautiful and in addition they are levels of angels.
Angels all have wings and those wings have certain hues to which gives them their badge of honour through levels in their achievemnt:

Angels-grey wings
Archangels-White coloured wings
-
ect until the the highest level angels who have golden wings, they stand and emulate in the hall of justice where 18 council members male and female reside. They stand behind them, such beautiful beings with such compassion on their faces that they neither smile nor frown but have a simple expression on their faces. They are in a league of their own, they dont talk to none, but only in the precious hyms they sing on special occasion in heaven. They protect us on earth which is the literal hell when away from Home(heaven/the other side, where we all were born from) in times of suffering they light our souls even though some cannot see them. They are such beautiful beings and when the chance you see them it is a blessed time. Angels do indeed have wings.

But concering the issue of their part of turning into evil entities that is impossible. Angels have never incarnated on earth, even though they are sent by God to serve His people while in the desperation of being separated from Him and his paradise. The simple answer is angels have NEVER and will ever be dark entities because they have never incarnated on earth hence their lack of surface emotions on their beautiful faces, they have never experience pain and suffering therefore they bring light into our lives and give hope to the world. They are indeed in a leaugue of their own, the highest to which God has created to serve mankind.

What a blessing to have such beings sent from heaven to our dimension to serve us, we who are longing for Home and making decisions that are hard but have been planned out by ourselves before we were bron, planned it all out on our life charts.

I hope this has helped you, from an 18 yr old point. I dont know everthing but I know what I have discussed to be true.
God bless.

In response to the original post, and assuming it is framed within a religious context (as opposed to spiritual), then I would say yes.

Yes because "demons" and the Devil (if you choose to believe in Him/Her/It) were originally Angels.

As for which is more respectable, humans or angels - that's up to you to decide. Humans have faults, yet angels are supposed to be without any. I'm not sure if that makes them more "respectable" but it certainly makes them more lovable!
