is it possible for an angel to fall in sins and become a demon?
Which one is more respectable human or angel?

As far as I am concerned, angels and demons are just terms we humans have given to what is essentially a spirit just like us. Angels being exceptionally evolved, demons having a lot of work to do to evolve. I have trouble imagining a spirit could be so evolved, compassionate, intelligent, etc, etc, to attain the state which many might describe as angelic, then somehow do something so completely out of character and beyond all redemption to consequently retrogress to a quality we might call demonic.

Angel really just means "spirit messenger", so anyone in spirit who linked with a medium could be considered an angel, ... but it is all just spirit to me. As for respectable, everyone deserves the respect befitting their nature and deeds.

This is something that has bothered me also! I have read that Satan was an Angel & tried to "take over" God as punishment God exiled him from Heaven but apparently he didn't go alone!? He took with him other Angels who chose not to follow Gods rule and these became Demons? The ArchAngel Michael led Gods Angels in a great battle against Satan & his Demon Angels, won and Satan was cast down to earth! There is more to this story like details about how long Satan will have to stay on earth before being given "parole"? but I can't remember the rest without looking it all up again! It's kind of scary to think that there is not only Satan to contend with but his legion of Demons too! It makes sense though when we think about all the evil in the world. My defense against this is to keep sending out loving & healing thoughts into the world and hopefully you all do too then we can help ArchAngel Michael and Gods Angels to keep Satan and his Demons in their place! As for who should have the most respect, I believe respect is earned, there are some Humans worthy of respect & some who arn't and some Angels who are (Gods) and some who arn't (Satans)! But of course this just my opinions and what you believe is right for you.

I would just like to point out that the religion of Spiritualism does not accept Satan or demons; Spiritualists accept responsibility for their own actions and do not require a devil on which to hang their wrongdoings.

As Nat so sensibly wrote, angels and demons are just the two extremes of spiritual evolvement and both are words created by man to try to understand the incomprehensible.

Is it so difficult to accept that we are eternal beings and just get on with living it without complicating our lives with so much unsubstantiated fears and worries.

Thank you for your reply Sybil. I was brought up as a Roman Catholic as was my Mother but she lost her own Mother at a very young age and didn't feel the Catholic Church gave her all the answers she needed so she searched other religions/beliefs to find those answers, she eventually entered a Spiritualist church just after I was born as she met someone who had given her healing when she was pregnant with me and ill they told her I would help her find the answers! she has always encouraged us to follow our own path and although she gave us the basic foundation of the Catholic church as that is what she knew we also attended many other sunday schools such as methodist and baptist. I have very good friends who are Buddist, Hindu, Mormons, Spiritualist, Sheiks, and currently I take to my Children to both the Church of England Church and the Spiritualist Church (they have all been both Christened and "Named") I therefore have had much input from very varied sources as to the age old story of Good verses Evil and I have come to the conclusion that there is and always will be Good & Evil in all things it is up to the individual which half of themselves they nurture and help grow! I was not answering as a Spiritualist (although I attend a Spiritualist church, have sat in circle and had many many personal experences of "life after death", angels, esp, etc!) I was answering as an individual with individual veiws and beliefs and I thought that was what this site was about, gaining veiw points and disscussion points from all outlooks, is that not what it is for? Are only Spiritualists allowed to air their opinions? I don't mean this in a sarcastic way I am asking a genuine question? because if is it I will not post any more of my veiws so I don't offend or upset the users of the site! ops:

I wasnt particularly responding to your post; just advising that Spiritualists do not accept a devil. These are discussion boards and I was adding my twopennorth into the discussion.

You will know that some people do not even know that Spiritualism is a religion and it is important to me that people realise that Spiritualism is not a fear based religion.

The boards are not just for Spiritualists but by the same token, neither are Spiritualists barred from them

Hi - Im an Ex Spiritualist/Occultist now follower of Jesus (Christian),

Im here to give a different view on Angels according to scripture.

1 third of the angels chose to follow the god of this world - they are commonly called demons. The rest stayed with God (Yahweh) and continue to serve Him. They minister to people and protect according to His will. They are not subjective to humans but to God alone. They will never allow glory or honour to fall upon themselves but do the work of the Father in Heaven. Our Father in Heaven loves us so much & He will most definitely send His Angels to protect, guide and minister. However, it is not the will of God that we worship His created Angels, rather the Creator - God Himself through His son.

Seems to be a bit of a contradiction here Grace.

If Angels had it within their capacity to fall from grace and become demons, then they could have never achieved angelic status in the first place.

Hi Sybil,

All Angelic beings were created Angels - they did not achieve their status. Likewise being a creationist I believe we did not achieve the status of human but were created this way from the beginning. I reiterate that many of them fell through their own choice. Free will is given to all. I cannot see the contradiction.
