Default Poor Virgo! such bad press! why?

Why does everyone think we are so boring and stuffy? If you could see my house ,you would know we are not all obsessive compulsive cleaners! haaa haaa! Most of the virgos I know are wired to the moon! "not grounded" some would say. my other virgo friends are bellydancers like me and we are never done floating about and making new travel plans. we can be very ambitious too! none of this is like the posted video of virgos! lol

i don't know anybody who likes train spotting! or anything mathematical.

we like foreign cultures ,languages and dance forms.

we can be deemed "useless"or "hopeless" by other more run-of-the-mill signs who are oh so grounded and well placed in the daily running of things.

my breed of virgo doesn't do daily, or routine. we float around , dance and play. and we can get lost for days in our own little worlds.

not efficient for book keeping and accountancy. haa haa

tell me if you can relate to this!!

Default virgo and pisces

There are two distict possibilities here. Most people do not realize or at least recognize these topics.

First issue is back-poles. What this means is that the sign opposite your sign can "bleed" in energy into you consiousness. The closer one is the deadcenter of the sign, the stronger this affect is. If your a virgo, then pisces is your back-pole.

Second issue is the progression of equinoxes. This is because there is a gradual movement of the signs in the background of the sky. Hence the sun's rise on any given day moves as time goes on. It does so at the rate of about 1 degree ever 70 years.

What is sounds like is your birthsign was really in Leo and you have an aqauarian back-pole. It would tend to gravitate you to exploration, teaching, leadership (most likely by example if not directly) and a tendency for a thirst for information.

Look at the sidereal astrological dates on that link and let me know what sign the sun was I for your birthday. It would also help to know if you were in the first 1/3 , 2/3 or last third of the sign. Time of birth would let me tell the moon and planetary signs as well

Default thank you!

according to the Sideral table on the web page. It is Leo as I am september 4th! make what you will of that. i had never heard of this system before. but was often reading personality traits of other signs to see if they described me more justly. i look forward to your reply.

Yes. Your birthsign is Leo then. To be specific, near the dead-center of the sign in sidereal astrology. It makes alot of the things you described in your orignal posting make sense. Research Leo. Your going to find yourself fitting more with it's profile than Virgo.

Reason is the progression of equinoxes. The whole concept of astrology is that the energy of the stars affect our energy matrix. The affect is known in physics as lensing(redirection of an energy ray via a gravity well like the sun) . Standard astrology defines certain dates as when a sign occures during the year. They do NOT take into affect where the sun WAS on the vernel equinox  Basically the energies that our planet was being bathed in on Sept 4th was Leo and NOT Virgo..... :!: Sidereal astrology is the system of astrology that takes the sun's TRUE position on the date in question into account

Basically the signs are out of phase by about 10 or 13 degrees from when they were formulated.

Default thanx again

i will look up some leo stuff now. it's strange, i have always thought of myself as virgo and now according to your system, i'm not! change is good. that would explain why all my virgo friends, who all have birthdays in the same week as me, are more like the way i described in the first post.

where could i read more about the back-pole element? aquarius you said? i could read about them but i actually want to read about the effects of the back-pole sign.

plus lateley, as i am often disapointed by virgo write ups, i have been reading more and more into chinese asrology. i find that being in the year of the tiger sums me up way more than virgo could. do you read much about the chinese astrology? what is your sign?

i am very happy that you introduced me to the idea of the sideral zodiac. thanx

Sidreal astrology is in the minority and you should really be studying the basics in Tropical astrology....

If you are Virgo then you are still Virgo and I don't accept you are Leo unless of course you have a 'planet' in Leo!!!

You are going down the wrong path here, Amongst other things, astrology is a wonderful tool for understanding yourself and others better.....enabling us to make better choices in life as we become aware of how our behaviour influences what happens to us through the law of cause and effect. Astrology does not reliably predict the future.......But it can provide an excellent insight into the psychological make-up of people, enabling us to accurately predict their behaviour and it's resultant effects

If you intend to learn about astrology, you will need to begin with a natal chart, it need not necessarily be your own, but many choose to begin this way, in an effort to better understand their own life journey, and purpose. Astrological natal charts are as individual as a persons ‘fingerprints’ depending on where (latitude & longitude) and time of birth. It is important to get your *time of your birth* as this is the most important information.

Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more…….

Default i do

it doesn't matter whether you accept it or not. i do. it gave me a little explanation for why my personality was not very virgo. at least not like the typical borging kind that everyone automatically uses to sum up virgo's.... that extra knowledge that I could be leo instead explains my flair and I am happy with that. I do not "NEED" to study anything that suits other people and my path is my own whether it is right or wrong on your opinion. thanx for all the links for the natal chart but i have done those before and got loads of information at the time but i never intend to become an astrologer or anything in the area. i was here out of light curiosity. not to offend people by "being on the wrong path" or calling myself " leo and not a virgo" i see there is friction between believers of sidereal and tropical astrology but it is not my concern.

thank you for your reply.
