i think the next life has to be a state, because there is no physical plane at all. we are spirit, so there is nothing material in the spirit world. i also believe that heaven, hell and limbo are states of mind while on earth.

i don't think we could ever really perceive the reality of the next world until we get there. those of us who are lucky enough to have had a small insight to it thanks to spirit haven't seen it in it's full form. even if we were given the opportunity, i don't think we would ever totally grasp the concept because we are too obsessed with the material.

like yourself, chp, i draw. whenever i was in art class at school and had to continue a drawing from a previous lesson, even if i was standing in the same place, i never saw the same thing twice. so if i can't observe the same world after a short break, i believe that none of us get the same image as another.

i think jesus was talking about different levels. until someone persuades me otherwise (and it will take some persuading,) i believe there are 7 levels in spirit. 7 main ones anyway, but i've never heard of any sub-levels so far. i read this once, years ago, in a book by a guy who had an NDE. some years after that, i had a visit from my granda who sort of confirmed it. i'm not daft, it could have been my mind using the memory of the book, but instinct tells me it was a visit.

there you go, my answers to your 4 questions, chip. feel free to argue them lol.

Default afterlife as a place

Hello all kindred spirits
I am currently studying at Uni in Sydney, Australia and am doing a topic that is very relevant to this discussion for a history major
I am looking at how the afterlife AS A PLACE is featured in popular memory over time
I would love love love it if i got some of your opinions of how each one of you image the afterlife to look like (never mind if it is a state or place this is irrelevant to my study)
For example do you see the afterlife as the bible describes it- heaven or hell? With clouds, with cities, A Utopian Society?
I would appreciate any opinions, especially those that are not from Australia as i am interested in cross examining responses based on cultural context

Thank you so much for your Time
Kind Reagrds

ps- am finding the discussions on this forum so thought provoking, it is nice to be able to talk about this subject without getting weird looks ha ha

Hi

Can I suggest you read Anthony Borgia's books: Life in the World Unseen and More Life in the World Unseen.

These book were written by spirit thru an entranced medium and will give you a far better insight into the Spirit World than anyone on earth can give

In 1995 I had my 1st encounter with the spirit world but really did not know what it was about. From April 2006 everything was to go haywire with encounter after encounter and still persisting to this day. Here is a small snippet of this particular encounter:
I was brought and held aloft outside a large red Victorian wall with a curved top about twenty feet high. On the far side of the wall I could hear and sense spirit souls who had just deceased entering from a tunnel into the light and coming up oppposite me where I was being held - here is just some of the information that I was allowed to sense:
The spirit souls entered on one energy level but they were other energy levels (lower and higher) nearby. Each spirit soul talked the same language - they were no young, old or sick souls - they were all beings of light energy radiating love. They all were approximately the same age - that of 33 years old; As they came up to the wall opposite me they were then directed by other entities to go off to meet other souls to do some kind of work so that they could progress spirituality. These spirit souls were not allowed to enter another energy level that was higher than this one to see other souls, however other spirit souls of higher energy could come to see them if they wanted; under no circumstances did any of the spirit souls want to go back to earth where they viewed it as being the lowest energy level by far-it was as if they had come home
As I state this is just a snippet of this particular encounter but I have recorded this and all of my other encounters in great detail- I hope this snippet helps to answer some of the above. All of the encounters I have had have been verified by uncanny revelations-now I know just 'Who we are' and 'Why we are here' and that my purpose in life is to help as many people as possible come to terms and help them with their experiences and encounters-joseph

Default what a wonderful age we are in

i'll just start with a quick note, interpreting the bible has been done and done. never a good idea.
i believe in mother nature, and her hobby is evolution. everything evolves life and cultures societies science and religion. isn't it awesome to see people blending new quantum theories string chaos and the like into the mix of religion. and rightly so.
if we all just rehashed past ideas we would still be painting on walls in caves and thinking its wonderful. science has us learning about smaller and smaller particles looking for the nothing at the bottom, but they wont reach it they will just get infinitely closer and religion is going from the nothing looking for the something, two ends of an equation that we are only now learning how to blend together.
i think the answers are a lot closer than most realize. good luck with the book
