id say its possible that there was a moon landing bit the pictures that were broadcast on the landing i feel were scripted and acted in a studio,just my thoughts :shock:

What makes you think that? If it had been broadcast from a studio, would they not have made the pictures a little better? Or was some scrambling added for authenticity?

If you took a picture in the desert at night....you won't see any stars in "our" sky either...
And shadows of rocks on Earth go in all odd directions....as they also do on the moon...
And IF Apollo 12 was a fake....then so was Surveyor in 1966, for they visited it and brought back it's camera....But then where does the "fakery" end...no Surveyor...No Gemini or Mercury....No X-15 Rocket Plane....?

Lastly if Apollo 11 never landed on the moon....how come an Observatory in New Mexico can "bounce" lazer's off the experiment STILL up there on the moon,and still working, in the Sea of Tranquillity where Armstrong & Aldrin "allegedly" left it....
- "it's a fake"...they all cry...BUT without any real "proof" of their blanket claim....but then by that logic surely EVERYTHING must be a "fake"...? - have any of the doubters been to that New Mexico Observatory and seen the Lazer experiments....?, then PROVED conclusively beyond any "Reasonable Doubt" that those Lazer Experiments are a "fake".....?

so I would say PROVE All those people around the world lied between 1969 and 1972.....prove all those "missions", blast-off's , "transmissions", and splash downs in the ocean were faked...prove the Apollo 13 near disaster was a fake....?

It is interesting if you turn the argument around on to the "fake" screamers....tell us how ALL those people, in all those countries were included in the "conspiricy" and ALL have then kept quiet ever since.......including Jodrell Bank, Autstralian tracking stations, etc....

As for those "fake" poor quality pictures....actually remember those cameras were very poor by our standards now...but again prove to us HOW those photos were faked....?

One curious other point....look how every one of those men who walked on the moon later changed...becoming recluses, preachers, etc....the "alleged" experiences seemed to transform them all....
So only when the doubters have "proved" all these points can we begin to consider the validity of the "fake landings" idea....


Remember too, that Many believed Columbus never discovered any land at the end of his voyage....that disbelief continued for many years too....so logically America does not exist....does it....?.

I originally said "Cue the sound of a nail being hit on the head".

What I meant by that was "exactly and I agree with you".

I'm eternally annoyed by conspiracy theorists, with the moon landing doubters being at the top of my list. They will read half-baked ideas on the web or in hysterically written books and think that they are well-informed on the subject.

1) The waving flag

Yes, the flag moves, but the flags on the Apollo missions were not made from the same material as flags on Earth. They were made from stiffened plastic so that they would unfurl and make for a good photo. When nudgeed, they will swing back and forth as a result of their own elasticity. Try holding up a paperback book and then flicking one of the covers and you'll get the same result.

2) Converging shadows

"They must have faked the landings, because the shadows are at different angles, proving that thee was more than one light source". OK - next time it's close to sundown (it's summer now, so everyone will have the chance to try this) stand three people or three tall things in a row and observe, from a fixed point, their shadows. Normal, everyday perspective will make the shadows appear to converge. It's as simple as that.

3) The lunar module is back-lit

No-one here has, surprisingly, mentioned this. There's a photo of the lunar surface, taken from behind the lunar module and the in-shadow side of the LM is visible. "This proves that there was ambient lighting!" the conspiracists scream. No...have they never heard of flash photography? The astronaut taking that photo was standing in shadow to protect the camera lens from solar flaring and the flash engaged. Has no-one ever heard of the theory of looking for the simplest explanation first?

4) Photos and film shot on the moon do not show stars in the sky

Here's another challenge for you: take a normal camera at night on a cloudless star-studded evening, activate the flash and take a photo in your garden. Now try it just pointing at the sky. Count the stars in your picture. With normal settings, you'd be lucky if the moon in the sky is anything more than a very small circle. This is possibly one of the most ridiculous arguments used in claiming that the moon landing never happened.

As Keele said in his post, it's not just coincidence that the claims of the landings being faked came after "Capricorn One" (a fine film) was released. But that's all the claims are...pure fantasy.

question though. if they did land on the moon in '69, how come there doesn't seem to be much publicity about the subsequent moon landings?

where would i find footage of the other landings?

Personally i don't think the moon landings are fake. The evidence the people who do think it's fake have, are shadows, lights and flapping flags. If anyone finds some REAL proof that they are, share it with the rest of us.

This will undoubtedly ruffle some feathers but I feel that to dismiss the moon landings as false is insulting the ingenuity, tenacity and dedication of those men and women who have given their lives to the space programme, not only those in the literal sense but also those who have immersed themselves lock, stock and barrel nigh on 24/7/52 for years on end to see the missions succeed against unfathomable odds to us mere mortals.

How many thousands of people have been and still are involved in the space programme? In order for a conspiracy to succeed it has to be watertight - the more people that are involved the more difficult it is to keep it secret (you could argue that as soon as two people know the truth it is no longer a secret) and with the numbers involved in the space programme and the Apollo 11 mission alone the mere suggestion that they are all lying is ridiculous.
