LUCID DREAMS
Subject line altered by admin

POSTER SAYS:

i often got dreams which i could control. people say that while dreaming you cannot interupt the dream because you only watch your sub-concious mind, but what is happening to me is different. While dreaming, i am aware that i was in a dream and not just that, i can control my dream as my will. do you think it si normal? any suggetions?

I've had a few myself. Don't know how they work, but I've had em. Mine are boring though. I can't really do anything outside what I could normally do, such as fly or pull things out of the air. basically I wander.

I've had dreams like that, quite alot really. There's nothing wrong with it, it just shows how in control of your mind you are (lol)

I have these dreams quite often, it's normally very relaxing because things still go on around me but I choose whether I join in. I do find that I wake up feeling drained though.
The strangest one that I had was one where I was with a group of people who all believed that the dream was theirs.

I just had one last night (to Monday 8 Jan) - I was in an episode of the BritCom "Porridge" (set in a 1970s prison) and I think - but am no means certain - that once I realised that the dream-programme which I was in was nothing like the actual series, I could by force of will change it so it was more "real"...put the regular characters in their regular places, and so on.

Also, by lucid dreaming, do you mean where you can actually feel what is going on? There was one I had in October about the outcome of a political event I very much expect to happen based on other readings and psychic awareness that I have been honing over the last year or so. I was in the situation after it happened (it hasn't happened yet, and to those in the UK the outcome is a surprise twist to the tale currently "on show", so I won't spill any beans now) and couldn't quite believe it was "really happening". So I put my hand out to touch the wall in the room where I was "entertaining" the new Prime Minister ;) to see whether I was dreaming or not. To my surprise in the dream I could touch and feel the wall, and when the PM's dog - probably a metaphor for someone later on who I saw on the news with the surname Barker - jumped up at me and licked me, and I felt it as much as I would feel a real dog. So I naturally came to the conclusion that I wasn't actually dreaming, though I might have had another clue in the fact that I was wearing my night-dress to this fancy soiree...!!!

Anyway, just a couple of thoughts. I haven't consciously dreamed lucidly, and often think it might take the fun out of seeing what my brain manages to show on its inner evening movie screen. As with tarot cards, randomness is more exciting and revealing than consciously directing dreams.

You are a lucid dreamer. You are probably very creative, maybe left handed. It is normal, you can identify your dreams and take control of them, you are very lucky! I've tried and managed to only a couple of times. You can experience what only a few of us can! Can I ask something- Is this an international website, because I get the feeling it is a british website? Is it?

Hi there - it is international

I had a dream about three months ago that really disturbed me. I was in my boyfriends car alone and I was trying to lock all the doors because I sensed danger and that someone was going to get me. As I went to lock the passenger door at the back of the car three men were trying to get in to beat me up with baseball bats.

I started to wake from my dream and lay there in bed. As I was waking I then began to feel that I was physically being strangled in my bed. A minute is a long time to feel like you are being strangled by hands that you cannot see. I feel so sure that I was awake because my eyes were open and I could feel myself starting to suffocate. It was so weird. I was terrified trying to get back to sleep that night.

I have very lucid dreams.I dream that i am going back to a house i used to live in.I was never happy in this house and it was a very sad time for me.I dream that im going to live there again. When i get to the house i am crying and upset. All the time i am saying to myself,oh god this is not a dream and i can really feel this and i really think i am back there to stay. When i wake up i am so glad to be in my own bed and so surprised as the feelings in the dream felt so real.
