A new movie starring Nicolas Cage (and my friend Vanessa - ok, well she was an extra and I didn't spot her ..lol)

The story line -

An astrophysicist (Cage) who believes there is no order to the Universe finds his beliefs challenged when a time capsule dug up at his son's school reveal some startling coded predictions. Some that occured whilst the capsule was buried, others that are yet to pass. As events unfold he comes to believe his family have a part in these coming predictions - but what happens when the numbers run out?

My partner thought this was a bit cheesy, ...I liked it tho, was not 'totally predictable', had some great special effects, ...over all well worth the watching.

What did others think of this?

it's not normally what i go for, but i thought it was the best film i'd seen in ages

i personally did not like this film, though it was gd as a story line, and as you said. A film that was not predictable (finally)
it just didnt quite sit in with me, though i thought the ending was beyond cheesy

it did have me gripped. i admit that.

I personally believed in the movie knowing because since i am a big fan of H.G Wells,since i was five,he wrote a book on how the world was going to end and higher races with powers took couple of children frm each race to place them on mars.... I personally thought it was based on that book,he wrote time machine but critcs say there is some truth to it,just as Leonardo da vinci,the bible and nostradamus,see not with ur eyes but the message hidden that your sub concious mind will pick up. For instance i am seeing visions of the wheel,this means the reaping or the gathering of God's chosen before war,drought disaster.....the wheel of fortune as in the tarots

I thought it was a good film, ......shame I'll be too old to go with them!

I though it was a good movie and i am not too struck on cage at all in general but it was one of his better ones.
