I have had these type of dreams from as far back as I remember - however, some of them have been wrong. I used to hate the dreams, which originally came via one relative of mine who had died when I was young, when they started they would be about people I didn't know, quite often some of the child murders that occurred on the news (incidentally, this relative was a child social worker in life) so I used to tell her to "go away". And she did, for quite a few years. Then after I had my children the dreams occurred again, only with my own children being the victims in a few dreams which wasn't very nice. Then over the years, I have had other dreams and sometimes just feelings which come from seemingly nowhere. Nowadays, I try and analyse the dreams myself. Sometimes, its not that someone has died when a relative or friend comes through in my dreams, sometimes I later find that one of their loved ones was going through a "difficult" time.
I have had a few laughs, I have a relative who has come through a few times, they have been times when his now elderly wife has been ill, they have I think been warnings about this, nowadays I just ring up someone I know who is close to her and enquire how she is, who usually gives her a ring - but the man who died who comes through, really didn't like me much in real life, so I chuckle that he now comes through. |

Once again thank you for sharing your experiences. I was thinking about this the night my dad passed away again and about the dream a few days earlier where my grand father appeared to me. That night we were in the hospital with 2 close relatives very ill and I knew one of them would be leaving us. I now wonder if dad chose to be the one cause my grandfather at the end of his life used to struggle with his breathing and I woke up hyper ventilating because I was so upset by his appearance in my dream. Well my niece was was tacio cardic (excuse the spelling but i hope you understand what i mean) that night after the anesthetic is also asthmatic. I now wonder if my dad took her place and saved her life...if so it gives meaning to his sudden departure because until that night my dad was a well man.

It's so interesting reading about other people's similar dream experiences. I am glad I found this site.
I wonder if anyone else who has these dreams of people dying or other premonitions have other physical similarities. Headaches or chronic illness for example. I don't expect people to share too many personal specifics but I don't mind sharing that I have a thyroid disorder for example and it's nothing major for me I just take a thyroid hormone "supplement" but the point is that I do have some sort of imbalance in my hormones that could make a difference in my dreams. I've read a bit about Edgar Cayce recently but I never read about his karmic theory - someone else mentioned it and now I think I will look into this as well. |

I dream when people will die too. I see them dead and they are always found in the positions I dream and places I dream of and dream the exact date too. It always comes true. I dont know how to stop it but its been happening for so long now I think I am just used to it.

I've read a lot about thyroid and adrenal disorders and they seem directly related to the pituitary gland, which is also said (in ancient texts and folklore I guess) that the pituitary and pineal could be responsible for the "gift" of esp or precognition. I also read that a very large number of people have benign pituitary tumors and these can cause strange hormonal shifts. Most are never diagnosed but found on autopsy apparently. I think it was one in 5 people or something like that. Since treatment of my thyroid problem hasn't really solved my own health issues I continue to search. In the meantime I also continue to dream - and wonder about the connections. It's fascinating but also frustrating. |

Hi I know this post is old. But I have the same ability. Not that I like it much. But I have dreamed dreams about people I know and those I do not know. They either die the same time I am dreaming or the next day. I also hear "gunshots" in my ear when people die. I also heard someone in the trunk of my car pounding at the same time a family friend was kidnapped and murdered about 1600 miles away from me. I also get other peoples symptoms when they are sick. I had heart pain all day once when my sister died of a heart attack. Just today I had stomach cramps when my boyfriend was having a surgical procedure.

I think a lot of the posts on here will get a bit old but they are still "alive" many times because there are not that many of us on the forum and we can't visit too often (work gets in the way).
LadySamurai - I know what you mean about "feeling" people's symptoms. I sometimes get that too. More often I dream of something related to their symptoms. One time I dreamed a friends child was shocked by an outlet pretty badly. In the dream the sensation came through me and I felt the stinging sensation. About a week or two later she told me he had caught a weird kid's disease called "Fifth's Disease" which is said to produce a distinctive red rash on the face that makes the child appear to have a "slapped cheek." I also dreamed of this same person losing her baby - this was back before I knew her very well but we had done some work together. I dreamed of a red head woman swimming in a pool where the baby was lost. It was a very vivid dream in many ways, esp, concerning the color of her hair and that it was very long, yet I could not see the woman's face clearly. I learned just days later she (a red head with very long hair) had lost her baby. I don't know why certain people seem to be connected to my dreams while others I never remember dreams about. Maybe I dream of everyone but only remember certain ones! It's always a bit disturbing at first to have this ability. I've grown used to it now after so many years. I can't "make" myself dream of the future or use it to my advantage in any way, it just comes to me when it wants to I guess. I DO make an effort to let people know of my dreams however as I've seen it to be effective for me in circumventing some of the outcomes - at least it certainly seems that way. If I dream of someone dying or in danger I try to "warn" them at least. Most people I know have not been spooked by it but appreciated the effort just in case. I always tell them "If I tell you my dream, I don't think it will come true so I'm going to tell you." I don't know this to be a scientific fact of course but it seems to be that way for me, telling them seems to stop it from happening. |
