clean lol!..i preferd it the way it was, dirty,dusty,spookie, smelly the lot....and i think they put new gates on as i can no longer crawl under them, i would still go back tho but im gonna go on my own :twisted:
i do take it serious but my hubby likes to hide behind doors lol, i would love to go on a proper ghosthunt but i would have to take someone who thinks the same way about it as i do and the keep will be a perfect place to start.

The black gate looks beautiful, that has never changed bluemoon, except they put modern windows in it and it look's a bit silly...what would henry II think :?:

lmao the gate does look a bit weird lol and i will protest with you, thank god they have not changed the windows in the keep.. like i was saying to star earlier im gonna go up chillingham castle in aug (god help me!), im gonna make sure i have me paracetamol with me :shock:

I don't think it's been spoiled, as it's been renovated and had all the repairs done, and it's pretty much as it would have been centuries ago (without the smell!)

The Queen's Chamber you mention with the dolls is where I saw the black shadow move quickly accross the room. That's really the only room in The Keep that has any dolls or create on it, - maybe they'll do some other rooms like that too.

That bloke you mention on reception has loads of great stories about the hauntings in The Keep, if you ask him about them, and he's been on nearly all the vigils and investigations. He was on the Most Haunted one and met Gordon and the team.

He also says there are loads of investigations and vigils done there all the time, and they welcome newcomers.
One of the teams he says is the best is a team called "Ghosthaunted" and he told me if you Google that word you can find out when they go there next.
They welcome public as well as ones in their group.

That is what I like about north,plenty of castles and history and hauntings.
They do have some castles down here but not quite as many.

lol if only you told me before i went to the keep i would have asked him
i think they should be more dummies in the rooms and what it was like to live in them days ...i took a pic on my mobile of the queens chambers but nothing was there :cry: no wonder he look's like death warmed up for what he's been through and went on all of the ghost hunts. i would love to get a job there and to take photo's of the spirits what haunt the castle....
