Heres the deal. I thought why not show to people the obvious tricks and scams that some people use to somehow share to the world they have pictured an apparition and the likes.
Your free to post any yourself you have come across and had a great chuckle with, no obvious ones please (you know copy and pasted slimers from Ghostbusters etc). Lets see how we do PS. This is for fun and to get people posting and have a good time. Last edited by CraigHP; Wed, 17th Jun 2009 at 01:06 pm. |

First of all Ectoplasm photographs, im sure we have seen them, most of my examples is coming from the same site which I will blur out www%^&?*&?^?&com
But this has to be the worse case scenario on trying to look cool and think you seen ectoplasm in your photographs. Also its usually a good idea just to send 1 picture and not 2 which kinda gives it away ![]() Now it looks wow....... But what if you seen the other picture also. ![]() Kinda gives the whole game away, I know what it is, do you, lets see if anyone can see how it was done ;) |

Looks to me like finger prints on the lens. Sometimes aerosols will create interesting mist effects too.

Here is another ecto one apparently, with one big snag, this is done when focussing in on an object behind either
1. The camera strap or 2. A telephone cord. Here you can see what happens when you do.

Ill tell you what it is, its rather simple
And many people still use this technique, its a hand curled up reflected on a window pane with the camera focussing outside. You can clearly see the fingers curled up, even funnier in the 2nd picture to the right of it is his mate with a green top on and his elbow. Ahhh kids these days and their digital cameras ^^ |

This one had people guessing for a long time:
![]() Loads of people thought it was real. It did the viral email rounds. Or of course you can see some genuine ghost humting http://www.quick-flick.com/movies/degsie.wmv Or this dreadful rip off: http://mostfarted.co.uk/blogger/2006...ed-fart-1.html

heheh which comes to this con artist, here is his story
"This picture was taken inside my room in Cebu City, Philippines. I never believed in ghosts, and I rarely visit ghost sites. But from seeing this picture, I'm starting to doubt my thoughts. I have to share dis to everyone. There appears to be a face of a woman behind the window, which is strange because my room is on the 2nd floor. The picture immediately spread through my neighborhood. They say that a woman used to live in this area. One night while she was in the front yard, a couple of her neighbors raped her, and she then got pregnant. Months later she couldn't accept d thought of having d baby, she committed suicide. It was the first time I heard of this story since we just moved in; I think we know now why the former owners of the house left. Anyways, people often say that she was transformed into a "Pontianak"...you might know this in your research, that this means a child-bearing ghost in Malaysia. It was said that long after her death she kept haunting the same area, on the same date and night she was raped...to seek revenge on her rapists." ![]() Moral of the story? Please dont use a well known infamous fake ghost that circulates the net in its thousands hehehe
