Ive seen so much stuff it is very hard to find any others who actuall ywould listen let alone believe. These range right across the spectrum and has developed my facination and belief into all things paranormal.

Heres a couple...

My family was all siting in our dining room once around nine or tem o'clock pm and we heared a loud screem coming from up stairs in the bedroom above. We all looked at each other in terror, my dad wasnt home so we were even more scared. All my siblings were young between six and eleven.

My mum wanted to go and investigate but was scared also, she hesitated and just held onto the door nob. Then we went to brown alert!

Whatever it was walked across the landing and came stomping down the stairs, my mum shrivled away from the door and clasped us all cowering in the corner.

The door flung open about a foot wide and...nothing, silence.

My mum called out ''Mike?'' (my dads name) 'Mike?'' we all just waited- completly still.

(SORRY I HIT THE SUBMIT BUTTON BY ACCIDENT)
CONTINUED-

I think it was because nothing happened for so long that my mum went forward and openrd the door, she looked up the stairs and turned the light on. Nothing.

We never found out what that was. Many other things happened in that house, such as a walky talky just bursting on full blar while it was in the back bedroom and we all were in the dining room (again). One time me and my brother were alone in the front bedroom (only our babysitter down stairs) and we heard lots of snapping sounds comming from the back bedroom, it went on for ages. Later I went in their and there was a pile of plastic coat hangers in pieces on the floor.

I still remember when I was alone in the front bedroom and someone walked across the landing and stopped dead behind a large cupboard that obscured the view of the door enterence and I could hear a shuffling sound and then it must have brushed the dressing gown hanging at the corner of the cupbourd because it moved slightly. I was so scared I called out ''Tony'' (my older brother), nothing, but my dad walked up the stairs at that point with his charactoristic footfalls. Anybody walking up the stairs can see all of the bedroom doors and landing. When he came into my room I was stand with a odd expression on my face ''Wheres Tony?'' I said, ''gone out was my confirming reply...

Default Some interesting experiences

I never knew hauntings until the time my husband and I rented our first house. The house itself was a bit of a dump and not in a particularly nice area but we didn't have much choice on our salaries at the time! We were also looking to escape troublesome neighbours in the flat below the one we were renting.

Anyway, the house had a wonderful, happy atmosphere (although I could never settle there). Regularly I'd get strong smells of roses, pipe tobacco and violets. If I was sad I'd feel comforted by 'someone'. I had the impression of an older gentleman who constantly chuckled and who had a very cheery outlook on life. I also used to see a little white dog run around and often wondered how he got in the house with all the doors closed! We'd even find white dog hairs as if a dog had been lying in a particular area. To cut a long story short it appears the landlady's husband fit the description I gave and they had a little white dog that died. Everyone who came to that house commented on what a lovely, loving atmosphere was there. I never felt lonely there and when we eventually moved to the house we're living in now, the first feeling I had was of loneliness. This house felt very empty and I was quite sad, feeling that I'd left something behind.

It turned out that this house had a bit of a history itself. Although I didn't pick it up immediately there was someone here who wasn't particularly happy that we were here. The spare bedroom was horrible. It had a horrible, unwelcoming atmosphere and always felt dark and dismal. I hated it in there and would only go in when I needed to. Apparently the lady who owned it before us died - probably in that room - not too long before we bought it. To cut a long story short we had to do a lot of talking and positive thinking to get that room habitable. I felt that she, and probably her husband, didn't like us being there but it was more a feeling of disappointment that we were changing things and that they didn't care for it much. My husband saw an elderly male once in our bedroom and another time we had a mini-bbq in the garden with only 4 of us there. While we were at the back of the garden (it was dark outside and the lghts were on in the house) I saw someone in the spare bedroom. They left the spare bedroom and went into the hallway before turning left into the bathroom. I didn't say anything for a couple of years but my husband saw the exact same thing.

In the end we became mom and dad to a little abused kitten. She used to hiss and spit in that room but, stubborn thing that she is, eventually turned it into her own little room with her toys and bed. Around that time the feeling of sadness and disappointment started to leave the room and the house in general. We also gave positive reinforcement that the previous occupiers really should move on, that they'd no real reason to cling to the house and that if they wanted to stay they should focus their energies on their families, rather than an inanimate house. We now have that spare room as our main bedroom.

I noticed that if I put WWII era music on the atmosphere in the house would change immediately to one of warmth and happiness. We still get the occasional 'visitation' and if they're in a bad mood I'll stick a bit of Glenn Miller on and it seems to sort it out. We still get the odd noise and sounds of movement around the house (lights switching on, crashes, bangs) and once I even heard the very distinctive sound of bombers (a factory complex near to us was a target of the Luftwaffe in WWII - I even have an aerial shot taken by the Luftwaffe and you can see my house!) droning overhead.

Dont know if the house my family live is actually haunted in some way, but some odd things have happened. Or rather, bad things have happened since we moved in here 2 years ago. I won't go into it all, but I can tell you that in the first year we were here we had no less than 6 pets die. My two gerbils were found dead on the same day!

Also, one morning in the kitchen, the plastic cover on the central heating timer came off suddenly and shot halfway across the kitchen landing with a clatter on the tiles. It had never done that before or since.

A neighbour over the road says her house is haunted by a little girl. She throws things around sometimes and chucked a video at my neighbour's husband one evening! She also has no luck with pets, various ones dying over the course of time. So she's given up on keeping them.

I did use a pendulum one day to ask if there were any spirits in our house. It replied 'no' but when I asked if there was anything from the ground it replied 'yes'! The area here is known for coal mines so maybe there is some lost soul down there who had an accident or something.

Just wanted to share the above anyway.

Hi i,m new to this site and thought i,d add my story even though its unbeleivable and have trouble coming to terms with it , myself, its left me being very sensitive to spirit, i see things all the time, in photographs, newspapers you name it.....i,ve seen spirits sitting around a table and chairs in the paper ,houses for sale section.
Me and my partner moved into a studio flat in 1995. It was tiny .It had one tiny window and smelt like mould. The first odd thing i remember is laying on our bed watching tv on my side, my P was laying in front of me, all of a sudden i felt this surge of energy and this noise like a very loud heartbeat, i went back and came back like i had been pushed. I didn,t know it at the time but a spirit had entered my body or stuck to it.Things started to happen from there, i started to get voices on my mobile phone recordings, then i got images on it, i literally became like a woman possessed tryng to record voices and pictures.I showed them to my family and they looked a bit worried. Then to my horror i discovered that the whole building had spirits within it even outside, they were getting the,re energy from the railway tracks ( electricity and water ), I started to feel very uncomfortable ,the room would get this heavy atmosphere and i would feel dizzy, then the physical pains like burning started .One night i could,nt sleep i had this feeling around my face , people touching me, i recorded myself and saw all the spirits around me, later that day i started to record through a mirror image and thats when i saw them all, there were three spirits standing smiling at me, and a man standing behind me , he came out of my back in lots of disguises....i rang a medium that day and went to see her. She pulled this guy out, he was an old man , and when he was dying he was on a life support machine...well she said he had a tube down his throat and a pain in the temple which he had put on me......months before i had been quite ill ,i had been coughing all the time, i felt like i had something stuck in my throat and had some horrific headaches!....i had been to casualty at my wits end with it!!......he was a nasty peice of work .....She also said the whole place was possessed and needed knocking down......We later found out the place was a hospital!!! and we were living in the incinirator room.
Theres alot more i can say about this experience , ive left bits out, otherwise we,ll be here til he cows come home....I still have pep talks to another medium, well there are two really..they,ve helped alot and they believe i will make a very good medium myself, i,m not surprised after what i,ve been through, I hope to help people too that need it

Default I live in haunted hotel and i love it!!!

Hi, I'm lorraine, a medium, just wanted to share with you the 5 day paranormal investigation we had with Tony Stockwell, who stayed in the hotel. We had several spirit presences sensed, dramatic temperature drops, people heard stuff sounding like it was being moved (with no one there); doors open or shut by themselves, invisible footsteps walking up and down the corridors, we even heard spirit conversations! Tony even had some things hidden by prankish spirits while his room was locked- two children are felt to haunt the room in which he stayed.
The site has had quite a history, and many changes of use, and dates back to c.1890s.
As I sit for spirit in the hotel because it is so haunted- the atmosphere can be electric and get a bit spirited!!! - We've managed to identify some spirits who belong here, and some that have arrived for a short stay- with the mediums! LOL... During Tony's stay, he took people round our town and visited many haunted places, including a local Castle site, a church ruin (desanctified, not desecrated!). He also gave a platform demonstration while in town

Looking forward to getting to know how to use this site, and share experiences with you.
Lorraine

Default Pet problem/coalmine/huanting

Hi dollyface?

....... a dowser friend of mine suggested that if there are mines and stuff underground, the problem might be something called geopathic stress- kind of unhealthy energies from underground/ earth energies... if you dowsed with a pendulum, you may find that it might not be a spirit presence but earth-energies - check the britishdowsers forum ( you will have to do a browsers search) for more info.

cheers- hope this helps-
Lorraine

Default hi

This happened when i was at my friends house. He's house was built around 1128 as he said and it's looks that way too. It was on holidays when i went to sleepover at his house. Day went ok but when it was night it was terrible. They have a guest room, where i slept. We went to bed at 1:26 am after playing NFS:Most Wanted. It was a nice room but when i layed in bed it all started. I tryed to sleep but i heard someone walking in heavy armor. I quickly looked around, but there was nothing there. It was cooming from the hall. I tried to sleep, but i couldn't i was very scared. Then it was behind the doors. I quickly looked there. Door started to open. I saw a man in armor with blood all over his right hand. I freaked out. Then my friend came in and the man disappeared. I will never sleep there!
