Went to see Tony Stockwell recently and would be interested to hear if anyone has seen him and what they thought?

oops, not sure should have posted this here - i wouldnt say anyone was a fraud - just interested to hear of others opinions, having seen him recently myself.

I know Tony and he was an excellent medium but I am going back about 10 years since I last saw him demonstrate

i saw tony stockwell last year and, though i didn't get a reading, he seemed to be very accurate. also very funny and charming. no dramatics, just good down-to-earth mediumship.

he also took the time to answer a few questions from the audience. the evening lasted about 2 hours, but it didn't seem so, it flew in.

i'd go see him again.

Wow, that suprises me - i have to admit i was a little disappointed wen i saw him. I managed to drag my husband along (a non-believer) and i have to say, it wasnt very impressive. He only did about 3 readings, and they seemed vague. He spent most of the time plugging his new book, and almost half the audience left during the interval!
I was really excited about seeing him too, as i was really interested in the psychic detective programmes.
Maybe he was just having an off-night.

No doubt - some people are just the type of people who have nothing positive to say, and nothing better to do with their lives but go out of their way trying to find reasons to put down others whether they are genuine reasons or not. They muck rake through anyone with a name for themselves, put their own judgments and angles on things, allow no room for being human, and hey presto, - another bad medium, regardless of whether they actually are or not. :roll:

I think this goes back to the classic bully persona where they actually have deep rooted issues and it makes themselves feel better by reinforcing to themselves why they perceive others are beneath them. The difference b/n someone reporting someone where indicated, or merely having an opinion, ...is that these types actually revel in the process, you can see how much they truly enjoy their nastiness, and how much their ego get boosted by the spurring on from those likeminded. We should feel sorry for such people, and pray they get a life that does not centre around negativity. Imo.

hi, thanks for your responses, i agree there are many people out there who feel the need to put others down in order to make themselves feel important - i am not one of those people, but in this case, i will say i was disappointed after paying more than i could really afford to go and see him and i didnt see anything particularly impressive (not that i expect swirling mists and full on materializations etc!! lol) Having said that, i have only seen him the once, and im not sure you can judge people's abilities from one experience.

If it makes you feel better ... lol, .... the best medium I have ever seen - and I mean jaw on the floor from the first sentence, literally speechless for an hour, ... .then so shocked by the final comment I could not even respond to him asking if I was ok, ... (he ended up worried about me coz I needed time even tho silent to even compose myself before I could leave, ... lol), ... was, the subsequent time I saw him - a couple of years later - one of the worst readings I have ever gotten. I understood one thing in an hour - and that was him dating my last obe prior to the reading. I dont' know what to say about it, but he has blown me away so phenomenally previously, I am willing to put it down to a bad day (coz he could not have come out with the first reading if not legit) and I would give him my money again without hesitation - that is how good I have known him to be. Twice bad tho, and I'd seriously question going again ...lol

Well thanks for that Nat, maybe it was a bad day - i know he'd been touring alot and it does tire you out! I suppose i was more disappointed because my husband is a sceptic (probably spelt wrong - sorry!) and i managed to get him to go..and in a way it just enforced whatever he thought before! Very fustrating for me!! Anyway, maybe i will see him again if he comes back down here..i am not sure. Glad he impressed you though, theres nothing better than a good reading! lol
