I know in theory what ectoplasm is, however, do many folks believe in it? Has anyone actually seen it? I mean, you think ectoplasm, you think of early sceance hoaxes.

I can't give you stats on what everyone else thinks of ectoplasm, but yes, I and others on this forum have seen it. It has also been well studied by scientists such as Sir William Crooks, so whilst there is no doubt that some seances have been hoaxes, there is certainly plenty of evidence and scientific testing showing that others were legitimate..

Speaking of which, starting tonight, (and every night for the next week) I am sitting in seance with the aim of physical phenomena, and whilst I am absolutely confident and have every reason to think we will get some, (most likely percussion and levitation) fingy's crossed seeing some ecto will be included.

Aloha,i'll try and make this short and to the point....After 10 years of playing music in a back room of a commercial wharehouse,with no wierd situations other than sounds that one may hear being alone in a wharehouse at around 2/3 am,I had the following happen to me.....I was tierd and had been practicing my drums for awhile , with myself allways staying late after band practice by myself to play my drums.It must have been around 2 or 3 am when across the room i thought i saw the formation of a face (eyes ,mouth,nose).The room is very narrow,with the length not more than 20ft..with the only door located directly oppisite of where i was situated.Anyway ,i had a vacume cleaner with the attachment connected by the hose,which was coiled in a oval sort ,resting up against the wall,next to the door.This is where i thought i saw the face,inside the oval shape of the hose.Now i knew i was very tierd,so i rubed my eyes and looked again .I can tell you that i dont know how i was able to appear so calm,because on the inside i was horrified by what I saw,with this image being a reality and not a mind game .After ,id say 10 seconds or so,and with no outer emotion being expressed,i looked away,got up ,and sat on a couch next to my drums.I lit up a smoke,and then calmly looked again ,yet the image was gone.I packed up and left,again not showing any emmotion to what i had just seen.
I can continue ,yet that is the basic situation of what happened.I am not a person who sees things , and never really believed anyone who has,yet I have had only one other situation,with my waking up as a child 38years ago,to an old man sitting next to my bed leaning over and just starring at me,yet when i shut my eyes and opened again the old man was gone.I never slept with a chair by my bed again.......

happens to me all the time when i focus on something out of my peripherals for long enough. 1 time i saw my friends vacuum turn into a chair with a knitted quilt from his grandma's house which ive never been to. if im focusing on a person i'll see their face turn into something that co-insides with the energy they're giving off, like a younger version of them if they're sending positive energy, or a face of a different person i know with characteristics that suits that person.
