My beliefs about Capitol Punishment are totally anti. I see no sense in sending pple back to spirit, via capitol punishment, to appease society. Punish yes but with the reminder of why they must spend their wretched lives within the confines of an institution, away from society.
My thoughts about perpetrators are this...You have to agree on another level of conciousness, to be become a victim.
There is a deep bond between perpetrator and victim. Our thoughts are the vehicle of our lives and thinking, i feel this is the future key, to a world, relatively free of crime and victims. When there is no thought there is no reality. As human beings, we have the most awesome gift of all, the gift of creativity. Freedom to think and become co-creators in this, our 3 dimensional existence. Simply put if we stop thinking of a thing, it cant be created. It seems so simple to me, that in order to achieve a world of peace and harmony all one has to do is think it or not think of it, as in meditation. The Chinese have known this for centurys, that thought creates form, that coaleces into pysical reality. So I believe that physical and corporeal bodies are learning to think themselves out of wars and crime and criminals.
I dont care if it takes another 1000 years, I know peace will reign supreme somewhere in time and I pray that the simple principles I have mentioned will abide. [/b]

Death by execution is murder, and the premature departing to the afterlife must leave anybodies soul without peace. But like I've said in other posts, we don't know until we take the trip to the next life ourselves.

If there was a system of true justice by the penalty of death, it should only be carried out by those who seek it in valid means of redemption and deciding how and when it would be appropriate is too taxing for most societies. Therefore there would be a lot of injustifiable deaths, just like today. Even in that, it comes without due cause. The balance of energy is always leveraging itself among all beings of life.

Dear pangel - Living in a country where the death penalty is not an option and where life is not actually worth much to a certain type of people, jail punishment is siimply not enough. Money is spent on them to rehabilitate them, they are giving a free education and eventually declared "fit" to be reintroduced into society. A few days later, the same kind of crime is perpetrated by the same person - only this time with worse consequences. This is not only a single case but many.

Little children are cruelly raped and murdered. Their little bodies dumped in water drains, carved up for cultural medicines. Old people are killed for the little they have - one lady for instance was stabbed multiple times with a garden pitchfork! Once one is living with these kind of actions from fellow citizens that cannot be rehabilitated and a country that is faced with overfull jails, one begins to ponder on capital punishment.

Mentally healing is not an option for these people and being stuck in a prison where there is three meals a day served with no hard labour is no learning curve for them. In actual fact, they come into close contact with people who are incarcerated for minor offenses and after a while, this person or persons are just as corrupt.

Default The Death Penalty

The Death Penalty has been in use since the beginning of mankind. Not everyone sentenced to this punishment deserves this punishment. Their souls will be accountable according to the truth of their lives and not the incident that ended it.

I think you will find Conan that we are accountable for everything in our lives, the good, the bad and the ugly

Interesting topic. I often wondered where their spirit ended up. I agree with Conan,it depends how they lived their lives. Maybe there was a reason why they had to take another one's life. My husband was in the Korean war and always felt guilt for fighting against another nation.
Also about the ones who were found guilty and executed but were genuinely innocent, what of their spirits?

Well first off it would depend on if the person is guilty or not. If they are guilty and are killed prematurely then I believe that they are reabsorbed into the Godhead. People whom have committed terrible crimes will not be allowed to continue on in Heaven. But... they are put on this earth so that we experence the hardships that are needed to complete our charts that we have set up for ourselves. We would never learn anything if all was hunky dorey.
