Default Grave Ghost Picture

A Grave Ghost Picture

SENDER SAYS:

This photo was taken in an old cemetery outside of Ipswich, Queensland Australia. I enjoy going to places like this to photograph the old Headstones. This photo if you look closely, has a man's face at the top. could this be William Blackmore, her father? May be. I was not aware of the image in the photo until someone pointed it out to me. Once you know it's
there it's hard not to keep looking at it.

yes i can see the face shape at the top of the stone, but there is also a couple of "lip" shapes further down - i feel this is more likely to be the weathering on the stone.
as human our brains like to find order in chaos so it tries to identify unknown objects and , as the writer says , once u see it u cant miss it.

It is unusual this one, since the original photograph is old it could have been doctored. But its really hard to see any doctored evidence that stands out.

any photo can be doctored  don't think this one has. it looks like a weathered gravestone to me. if it was doctored, wouldn't 'they' have done a better job!?

Default Cool pic

This photo is pretty cool. I like the way it is perfectly in line with the tombstone. You know I seem to recall some tombstones being made with pictures on them, but this one dating back to 1895 could have been redone and made with his picture on it. What do you guys think?

this isnt weathering i think, because while i looked at the picture thoroughly
i saw that the image of the man is an overlay. if you look more closely
you can see that the overlay image shadows some of the letters in the
womans name,- makes it seem like a fake after all then...

From the way the shading changes, darker at the top of the stone, where the worst of the weathering would hit, then fading as you go down the face of the stone, I have to say it is just weathering and nothing more.

Im a photographer and i know that this is extremely easy to do, it looks like a double exposure, which could have happened at the time of taking the picture, or if it was hand printed could have been done then.
