Ghost face..
Hey all,
This picture was taken by my friend, while they were camping on a lake side in Estonia, on a simple digital camera.. They have only noticed what appears to be a face above a shoulder of one of the girls when they got back home.. No alterations had been made. Second picture: I have simply enlarged and adjusted brightness to bring out face more, no other tweaks were made.Do you a little girl's smiling face as I do? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I think the fact that it is so clear and detailed, will make people question if it is a fake or not. I'm NOT saying that it is a fake, so please don't think that. I'm just stating the obvious, the first thought that would come to mind when seeing such a clear picture like that.

HI,
I like this picture as it looks like spirit from the girls family drawing close to her which is a nice thought. I have to admit however that as I was not there when the picture was taken or subsequently developed I like many others will always wonder was it tweaked or faked. I suppose it's just human nature to question but if I was the photographer I would be trying to see if I could do it again under test like conditions. either way I still like the picture as the smile on the "spirits" face is beautiful. luv n light Anstar

Having looked at the pictures before reading the thread, as I always do, I'm going to say that it could have a number of explanations.
1: It's the girl on the left's face rotated counterclockwise a few degrees, desaturated, transparency increased and pasted next to its source. This is quite strange as there's also a line of lighter material of the same type running parallel to her right arm. 2: It's an image processing error. Again, quite odd seeing as only the one girl's face and that light patch parallel to her arm was cloned. 3: It's a ghostie of some kind. Unlikely but possible. As for which one I think it is? I'd rather not say

huh
i dont know if i would go as far as saying its cut and pasted but i do believe it may be a exposure problem from a pic that was taken prob just before this one and if its a digital cam it may have been the image of the one previous to this one stuck in the processor and ith the dark background it would only show the brightest spots of the photo in the duplicate.

Thanks everyone! I know that the guy who took a picture do not posses any photo editing skills and they all where really scared when realised there is something like that in a picture.. Unfortunately i havent seen the camera the picture was taken from and it does look like a possible exposure error,but i just like how the face seems to be smaller than the girl's as of a child and how beautiful and tranquil that little smile is.. There is also a history to that lake, a 7 year old girl had drowned there a few years ago.. Am not saying it's her, but it makes me think.. and to want to go there myself and spend couple of nights taking photographs.. It's all so facinating..)
