All people have different values, so if a medium wishes to charge money that is their perogative to do so. Free will etc. It's only the mediums who do charge that the act will affect. I am interested though how it will actually be applied to genuine mediums - if somebody isn't happy with their reading or doesn't feel they got any survival evidence etc., does this mean the medium can be reported and investigated? And then is it the medium's responsibility to 'prove' to the police or the courts of law that they aren't fraudulent? And how would / could they do that in any way that would be considered admissable evidence? Very thought-provoking!

I for one, have decided not to charge for my readings, psychic or spirit. It's simply just my personal choice. My psychic / medium readings are not needed to put food on my table, so I am fortunate enough to do this. Of course, that could change in some point in time! However, I do hold high standards as to the quality of my reads and feel my sitters have every right to receive a quality read!! Having said that, I totally support psychics and mediums that do charge a fee for their services, and believe that if they have the financial needs, they have every right to charge for their ability! We too have to spend money to enhance our abilities, by taking classes, seminars, etc., just like any other profession, so it shouldn't be frowned upon that a psychic or medium charges a fee. For many, that is their full time profession. I have several mediums that I visit and gladly pay their fees as they have proven to me that they're well worth it. |

It does not worry me.
It is there to protect the public from fraudsters, and there are alot of working psychic's and mediums around who simply shouldn't be. If you are a genuine medium what have you to fear? When it was first repealled, it was all the rage for platform mediums to quote it and go about terrified. The SNU have even changed the way in which they teach mediumship ecouraging throwing things out in the open rather than going directly to a person. To me if you are speaking from the heart you cannot go wrong. Trust and faith in a force higher than your own ego is all you need. In the end nobody can tell you what to beleive in life it is your choice. As a working medium it is easy to see those that are trouble makers, as they are generally those with a crisis of faith within themselves. Mediumship is ultimately more than just passing on comfort from anty mable, its a way of life, and a understanding about life and its energies. The law isn't there to settle philosophical debates, its there to protect people from injustice. |

Can I just point out that the SNU has not changed its teaching regarding approaching the recipient of a message.
The SNU recognises that all mediums work differently and some go straight to who they wish to talk to while others are only aware of the area in which they wish to be. Personal choice luv vi
