I was wondering if those who post on this forum have ever tried this? This is a techinque we use with our paranormal group. We have great success with this. Our group has been able to help people move on with their deceased relatives with our recordings. Along with picking up messages along the way with our investigations. This is something I would suggest others to try. If you have tried this, how successful has this techinque been for you?

i often sit for EVP and love experiementing. i have had some interesting results.
Have a look at Anabele Cardosos site she is a renowned expert in EVP and her communications are varied and very good. She is not a Medium by the way.

Thank you for this link. Very interesting site. I learned something new to experiment with, through this link!! The paranormal group I am with we have our own website with pictures and EVP's. I seem to collect most of the EVP's. From time to time I have been hearing these spirits talk telepathic and having it confirmed when I listen back to my tapes. I find this exciting!! Maybe I am growing stronger each time I am out collecting EVP's to be able to hear them telepathic. One night we were on a investigation and I had this intense need of someone needing a hug. So I told one of our investigators to hug a headstone ( this would later confirm if I caught anything on tape ) Well after the investigation was done I was listening to my tape and a little girl comes on and says...."Hug me, Chris" This is on our website, when I am able I will post the link. Since I am learning of new/more ways to go about EVP's does anyone have anything they could share that might help me better myself with this gift? I hope to learn many new gifts with this forum and make new friends from all over the world!!

How is it when we are out getting EVP's and walking next to someone who is also trying to capture EVP's that one person can get the EVP but the person next to them doesn't?

Another question, is I just bought a digital recorder and being it is new I don't feel confident with it being new, so I also have carried my mini cassette. I had the digital in one hand and the mini recorder in the other hand. I was able to catch EVP's on the mini recorder but not on the digital. Before I left my house I was just planning on using the new digital recorder but something/someone told me to also take the mini cassette recorder so I did. With me feeling uncomfortable with something new could this be the problem?

I don't understand, could someone please explain about these two questions.

I am certainly no expert on evp's, .. in fact, never tried to record any ever ..lol. However the logical conclusion to me, would simply be that the voice is not just floating out there, but that the spirit is directly manipulating a given device to get their voice on to it. Hence, one recorder and not another.

I don't know much about EVP as such....however years ago I had a cassette recorder that used to pick up "odd voices" when you were doing a recording....( a **** nuisance at the time too....!), :?

it would be a brand new blank TDK cassette tape....silent beforehand...you recorded say a record....which finished and you could hear these "odd voices" at the end of the recording (NOT on the record itself....I checked that...), :shock:

it mainly happened in the winter months...

I first assumed it was Radio waves...
but it was nothing like anything you would hear on a commercial Radio transmission...
normally any chit-chat (like say at the end of The Beatles song "I am the Walrus")
is clearly "Radio chatter"...often in foreign langugages...
but these snatches of male and female voices sounded most odd....sadly I erased them all...

I NEVER have ever got them on any other recorders tho'....

straight out of "The Twilight Zone" indeed....

I had voices recorded on a cassette recorder twice when I was a teen. The first time I had gone to a friends house to spend the night. The next day we came to my house and something recorded over what I had recorded the day before. You could here all of the sounds of the house on the tape, then you could here movement, then we could here something sit on the bed. Everything was in echoe. Then the voice started talking. Really hard to understand, but we eventually got some words figured out. There was no one there the night I was gone, so no one could have done that. It frightend my mom too.
Then another time , my friends and I were recording our song we were practicing to do in a talent show. There was 4 of us. We recorded it, and rewond it to play it back immediatly. When it started to play back, A similar voice like the one before was on it instead of us. Could that have been a poltergiest thing, Like me without me realizing it??? Or was this real EVPs?

I myself have never had any threatening EVP's. For the most part these EVP's are respectful.

Does anybody have any good links to pages with tips about recording these..? I'm just getting into this whole paranormal thing, because of a few recent experiences and some past ones. I tried with my webcam the entirety of a night's sleep, but the quality is horrible. Is there a way to get a recording from a cassette recorder onto the computer? please help!
