for some time now (i would say a couple of years) i have been experiencing every now and then dream paralysis. it would happen once or twice every couple of weeks if i slept in an uncomfortable position or if i left my TV or computer on while sleeping. at first i was terrorized but slowly i got adapted until they gradually diminished and occured 1 every 2-3 weeks to none on occasions.

lately for the past 2 weeks it has been happening continuously at a scary rate, to the point where i cannot go back to sleep. just tonight it happened 5 times back to back together with the same dream of a woman, infected with some carnivorous- blood-thirsty disease, passing it down to children and attacking me as well. the way it happened seemed as if she got some uncontrollable attacks which shook her out of control ripping pieces of flesh off my arms and legs. every time she was about to get an attack i would ask her if she was ok, as she answered "no" she would launch herself to eat....

regardless of all the blood and missing flesh i felt no pain and i would heal myself quickly, but i would immediately fall into the paralysis as she attacked me. just the thought of how the children looked is frightening... they would also have the gradual attacks and suffer some kind of transformation where their heads shook rapidly, bluring out their faces and whited out eyes... their flesh glowing in reds and purples and teeth stained in blood with flesh hanging from their mouths... they were mostly very young girls.

usually i take advantage of my dreams and nightmares and turn them into artwork... but not this particular dream...
i would like to know if there is any information i can be provided with to help the condition. i am seriously considering paying my doctor a visit. i understand that high levels of stress may be a cause but it's getting out of hand and i am not even going through that much stress.

i would like to hear about some personal experiences as well since i do not know anybody with this condition as severe as mine who can help me.

I have lucid dreams all the time and I especially enjoy the flying part!

However sometimes I get the paralysis that you are talking about and I feel a man in the room with me, very scarey, but I just told myself it is not real and eventually he goes away.

You are giving power to what image you are seeing by being afraid of it. Next time it happens say in your mind it is not real, it is a process of the transition between going into a dream by still being aware/awake.

Don`t be afraid, it`s normal, if you don`t give it power, it will fade.

hi i agree with debee it is very frightening but whats happening is when you get the paralysis you start to think oh no im going to have the zombie thing here now next and then it appears.most people have these kind of creepy things around when they have sp its whatever your afraid of really whatever freaks you out.you have to keep calm and say a prayer and you will be fine xx caileach

The person with the long white hair in your dreams... Stay away from that person!

There are several realms that we operate in when we sleep...

I number the realms for some reason, and it just seems right to number them that way.

If, in these dreams you notice broken/old houses... with these zombie-like people... you are in the 6th

If you see the person that I said,... you stay away from that person! Those kids with the infection can't hurt you unless you LET them.

But the white haired being can take your healing abilities away.

In the 6th realm of... "dreaming", these infected people can paralyze you just by looking into your eyes.

You may not know, but in this realm you CAN fly... or levitate, whatever you want to call it.

But don't look into their eyes...

This person that i refer to though, with the long white hair, can do the exact same except worse... you can't escape that person because even if it knows where you are, or senses that you're using your abilities, it will find you and do horrible things.

The good thing though, is that we are based in this third dimension, so we can come back here as an escape, this is why you wake up at the really bad parts... it's the default.

Because it is what I choose to do, and why would I use that kind of ability to do anything other than give my views without compensation?

I don't think it would be truly given to someone who would use it and attempt to make a fortune from it like Jon Edwards.

You know, I'm new to actually posting on boards about this but I have to say: Clay, I admire the way you're handling someone without the experiences we've had. It's unbelievable to me that these people, who are obviously seeking some sort of experience themselves, aren't willing to acknowledge when someone else genuinely has them. I'd chock it up to envy.

P.S. Debee, you may not have been meant to see these things because of the very reaction you're having. You obviously associate these sorts of "gifts" (and I use that term with extraordinary distaste) with exploitable material. Like a journalist's scoop on the latest, most absurd fashion trend. While some of us struggle against the tide to swim out of other realms, you're trying desperately to swim toward a shore you can't reach. Stick to the things you know, such as belittling others or showing your true character. Which, by the way, seems to be infused with bitterness. Resentment is one emotion that can cause a figure to loom in your sleep, and whether you acknowledge they're there or tell yourself they don't exist becomes the threshold for your maturity. To put in lamen's terms, you're never going to get rid of them unless you want to. For most people, it's a simple act of forgiveness (no matter the degree of atrocity). Deal with it?

P.S.S. to the original poster: You should listen to Clay. I agree with everything but the flying/levitating aspect -- it sounds too sensational. From my own experiences, I've never felt the desire to fly or had the opportunity. I'm usually the outsider looking in. What's right for me, however, isn't what's right for everyone else. We all have our own interpretations.

It`s funny, 1) why do you presume me to be a male? 2) You presume, again, that I don`t believe in anything I can`t see - wrong.

I`m actually a very open minded individual who believes in a lot of things. Yes, the radio play you were talking about was The War of the Worlds, and thus proving my point.

What I object to is people who scare others, especially the original poster who was 17 and scared their mum was going to die, I really don`t think what you came out with was appropriate, that young person was looking for advise - not to be frightened.

You say you have a gift, so? If you have or you haven`t, you should still touch base and talk to some people with care.
