My own thoughts are that we are reincarnated and our bodies are only the vehicles we use whilst here on earth and that we are on here to learn lessons.

I have my own theory that maybe just as we are all on a personal journey to "learn", so is everyone else. We are repeatedly coming back to learn more and that in turn is why society is evolving and is why society is facing new problems to sort out, why people are evolving and learning more through different mediums such as the internet which wasn't available years ago.

Where can I find information or a specific authority on what I am supposed to learn on earth. Is there a list? and if so, who wrote it. Which book can I find it in and who is the author?

We are all assuming we have to learn every lesson which can be learned in a physical life. Perhaps there is only one lesson and that is to experience living as spirit in a physical body. That only needs to be done once and as Kat says, there are other levels and dimensions in which an eternal spirit can have numberless wonderful experiences.

So come back if you wish and if you can, but dont expect to see me - I will be somewhere in the spiritual cosmos discovering more of the truth and making more forever friends

You could be right Sibyl. There may only be one lesson that needs to be learned before we move to another dimension.
Whatever the way I think it is fascinating, but wouldn't mind coming back again.

I'm afraid one round is enough for me! I am not hoping to keel over tommorow, but I am looking forward to what I think will be a great adventure - being in spirit, ...so you'll hear me kicking and screaming all the way from the spirit world if anyone tries to make me hang a lap of this planet again. No thanks, been there, done that, what's next? I can't wait to know and experience more than our earthly limitations allow us to.

Speaking to spirit tho, ...and I know they all have as different perspectives as we do here on earth, ...I kinda like one in particulars comments, that those who are reincarnated, are those who have it ingrained in their psyche that being a human is the pinnacle of existence and can not truly concieve of anything beyond. I know myself and one other present looked at each other and made comments to the effect of - uh uh, nah, can't think of anything worse than repetition over progression. I don't know if reincarnation is fact or fallacy, but this is one thing that I don't care what "supposed evidence" anyone shoves in my face, unless I know it happens to me without any shadow of doubt, I am going to continue to refuse to belive it and hope that is enough to make sure I move forward instead of around in circles. Fingers crossed ...lol

I'd just like to say I'm not an expert, just pondered it a bit. I think we're here to learn lessons as well, and believe it is all about the relationships we make in life. Some people we will see from life to life becuase we are not finished learning with this spirit...either we wronged them or vice versa, or maybe there was a great love. With so many people/spirits in the world I'd think we can't only see the same ones every time, every relationship great and small brings new meaning and learning into our lives. I think we are supposed to learn different perspectives so as to have greater understanding and compassion for others, and ourselves. I don't think there is one simple answer to this, there is another side...where there are good spirits and bad ones. If anyone is there waiting for us, I'd think it's becuase they havent returned to live another life yet...but then again...if we're just going to meet them here anyways, maybe your grandpa will be your daughter...and you'll learn a new role with this person. It'd be interesting to hear from people that have had past life experiences...two of my family members claim to have had dreams of past lives...my mother beleives she was a pioneer who died trying to put out a forest fire...and my sister thinks she was a prostitute that was murdered...I have no recollections...too bad...it'd be interesting...I think it could teach us a little about who we are.

I was just reading through all the posts here and thought I'd reply with my take. I am by no means an

expert on the subject, but I have read quite a few books on reincarnation. I think we come to earth to learn lessons unique

to our own soul and to grow and to love. We do this for God, but it is our choice if we want to have one life or one hundred,

He would never make us come back if we didn't want to. Also I believe time is different on the other side, we are there

forever, we've always been there and always will be. So a lifetime here on earth will fly by for our spirit friends on the other

side, just a short trip away from Home. I don't think you should be worried that when you return a loved won't be there

because they have already reincarnated. Planning a lifetime takes time and I don't believe most souls would hurry to come

back. You would want a little break . And even if someone you love has reincarnated you'll know that they will be back

very shortly and you can wait there for them with plenty of other loved ones.

Yes, I really do believe in reincarnation, I think it's great to believe in, as if you get reincarnated then life is eternal, and therefore death is not the end. I mean no one likes being stuck in a dead end job, so why should we be stuck in a dead end life? We've got to be going some where, otherwise our existance would just be completely pointless. And besides, if you believe there's something better, then you can't fear death, death's inevitable anyway, so you might as well make the best you can of it, you shouldn't enjoy the thought of death, just don't fear it, for death is a part of life. So if you fear dying, you fear living. I know I'm making no sense whatsoever, but just think about it; if your fear of death controls your life then you're not properly living. And besides, what you believe in, is real to you.

I do believe in reincarnation. What amazes me is that I can go to places where I have never been before in my present life, and I immediately recognize it!
Reincarnation to me, is a fantastic and beautiful thing. There's so much to learn, and in every life you learn a little more.
I haven't got any exact details about my past live(s), but I am positive I've been here before and I will be here again.
I agree with a lot of the theories written here, couldn't have said it better myself

Kathy, I am very interested to hear more about your "life between lives" hypnosis session, it sounds amazing! Do you know where I can find or have you got more information about this? I understand that it's not the answer to everything, but I reckon it would certainly clear things up for me...

:smt031 when i first met a "new friend" just over a year ago,we both felt instantly that we knew each other,he is a mere 22 whilst i am 40.there is no romantic connection as he is gay,but it wasnt a case of "pleased to meet you," it was for me,more a case of,"welcome home,ive been waiting for you.so for us,reincarnation is real,we know each other so well,and we both feel that we have been 2gether in many lifetimes,as friends,lovers,partners,in fact any way that two humans could possibly be together.

It's kinda like Jodie Foster in that movie "Contact" where she is asked how she, as a rational scientist, can believe she visited other dimensions. She simply said she believed because she had the experience. I've remembered past lives so how can I not believe it. The alternative is to either think I'm picking up someone else's life from the Akashic Records or I'm making it up. I don't believe either of those alternatives.

I do believe that the past lives I have remembered came back to consciousness because there was something in my current life that triggered it. Usually, it was something I desired to resolve.
