I like to listen to my instinct and just listen to my inner voice as to whether or not someone is legit. I'm pretty good at picking up on the vibes of all people, not just psychics. With John Edward I get a very postive feeling. I can easily compare that to another tv American psychic I get very bad vibes from.
BTW, I also think he's a cutie. LOL

I too love John Edwards but......................

A staff member of this site saw him when he visited Australia and was extremely disappointed. Seeing someone live is not the same as seeing an edited tv programme which is obviously showing highlights and very emotional ppl saying how wonderful he is.

It could be that he had an off nite which is something which can happen to all of us but very disappointing for those who went expecting the brilliance they see on tv.

So we have to watch all these tv programes with a pinch of salt. They are springing up all over the place, cos mediumship is very entertaining (and which I find very offensive) but at the end of the day if this man, or others like him can touch just one person and make them aware of their own sprituality and the fact of everlasting life, then it is a job well done, irrespective of whether it is classified as entertaining or the return of the jedi. The messenger is not as important as the message and the recipient of that message.

I love John Edward's style, When i started on my journey i brought his c.d. and have developed using them.They are very clear and he explaines everything so even i beginner which i was, can follow his direction.A good mediuma and all round good guy

I have never seem him live but would love to. I've seen him on t.v a few times and he sort of grew on me but saying that more so since i've read his books. I do not know if he has a ghost writer or is heavily influenced by what the publishers think is acceptable matter but in my heart I think not. I saw inside what I feel is a good man who has many talents and is exceptional in some areas more than others. Saying that I feel he is much better at what he does than some others I have seen. He has helped many and my instinct is that whilst some may say he is not perfect we all can hear people in a conversation on the same plane as us and still get it wrong when someone asks us to repeat what was said seconds later. Not only that but nerves also mean we cannot always accept straight away what a message means as it takes you by surprise that you have been picked and you seem to go blank which means it may take some time for the validation to sink in. Does that not tell us something. He seems to be a genuinely nice family oriented man who hates it when people get his name wrong but has peoples best interests at heart. Lord bless him.

I was wondering if John Edwards or Allison Dubois have ever publicly stated they are Spiritualist or associated with Spiritualism?

It seems clear that their practice falls into what I now have learned to be Spiritualism.

I have always been drawn to metaphysics throughout my adult life but it has only been in the last few months that I realized that Spiritualism was contacting the Dead through Mediumship.

Ironically, most people that I?ve spoken to regarding this, even people who closely follow John Edward etc. do not know that the Religion of Spiritualism appears to be the foundation of Mediumship and\or Contacting the Dead and do not know that a portion of a Spiritualist Church Service includes a demonstration of Mediumship similar to a John Edward presentation.

I'm also amazed that so much has been written in the past about Spiritualism and so few people know about it.

Ive seen him live in a packed auditorium and read his non fiction books and find him to be one of the most genuine caring mediums there is. This line of work is hard enough but to be put on the spot with tv crews etc he must have bad days sometimes as we all do. Im sure hes genuine, unless he planted people in the audience then he couldnt possibly have guessed the information he gave it was so specific to them and some very unusual. As a practicing medium it is hard to say all you feel sometimes if you are clair sensient as you may not say it right or it may not be recieved as you expect ie the person may not have known the confirmation or remember it, until later upon checking etc. To do this infront of a large audience or camera takes a lot of guts. He doesnt shy away when someone cannot take a confirmation or message, he insists sometimes, I have now learnt to do the same and a lot of people email or ring me later who didnt understand a message at the time of the reading, to say they completly did later on or checked and found it to be true.
Im waffling now but it is hard to do what he does and I for one think he does an amazing job in confirming that there is life after death to millions of people each week.

I've always been sort of inbetween decisions in deciding if he is truly legit, or not. I'm glad I saw your post. I'll look his books up in the library. Thanks.
