I do believe in angels, I just don't believe in Doreen Virtue. I have heard (not a 100% sure but I do know someone in the spirit world takes notice of me) we all have a spirit that walks through life with us, perhaps this is what people are referring to as angels? For those that have seen them, maybe the care taker spirits (or what ever you want to call them) are appearing in a non-threatning manner and therefore are willing to don the special effects ie wings! lol Or maybe just seeing a white light around spirits is enough to play into the image of a white angel.

Since angels are on a higher vibration then it must be the spirit around us that are taking on human form that come to their aid before disappearing? Even on a higher vibration where angels are, couldn't they hear our prayers or do their help without coming near the earth plane since there is no time and space? Or give orders to our caretakers? Just throwing around a few uneducated guesses.

Hi I am new here. may I add my experience?
I was in London with a friend and the time came to return to our coach. We had not left a lot of time to get to the coach stop and were a bit lost. We were going into an underpass and were unsure which way to go as one exit was a long stretch with no exits and if it had been the wrong one we would have lost a lot of time retracing our steps and probably missed the coach!
Suddenly a middle aged coloured gentleman appeared behind us and asked us if where we wanted to get to, we hadn't asked him for help but he must have seen we looked worried. We told him and he showed us the way to go [not down the long stretch of underpass]....we thanked him and walked towards our exit, then looked back saying how kind he was and how lucky we were that he had appeared as there was noone else in sight. He had gone to walk down the long stretch of underpass.
We looked - he wasn't there! There was no way he could have reached the end of his exit in the few seconds it took for us to look around after him, it would have been impossible even if he had run fast.
I am convinced this was an angel. He had a very kind and calm manner.

I have met people that I would describe as angels. But they are just people, truly good people, and they are so hard to find these days...

Default I met my Guardian Angel

This happened back in 1979 when I was a very pregnant newly married young girl of only 19 years old. This is when I had the blessing to meet my very own Guardian Angel.

I was 8 months pregnant married and asleep, when at midnight a loud pounding on our front door. My husband proceeded to answer the door and it was my brother-in-law who came barging in saying, "Oh my God, your mom's house is on fire and they think your brother is trapped in it!"

I flew out of bed, the best I could, considering I was very huge from pregnancy. My husband comes in to the bedroom and says, "Stay here, I will go see what's going on!"....I said, "No! What about my brother? I have to go"....he said, "No,stay here and I will come back to get you!"

My brother is only 11 months older than I and was born blind. I knew my mom worked third shift and would not have been home....but my 20 year old brother, blind, would have been home as it was midnight. What if he couldn?t escape the fire?

I struggled out of bed, all I had on was a half slip pulled up high over my chest as it was extremely hot and we did not have air-conditioning. The sweat, fear and heat was pouring from me.

As my husband exited the bedroom and around the corner, I was about 5 feet behind him. As I got around the corner and at the top step, I sat on the top step to take a deep breath. When I looked up...a woman was standing there. She was all dressed in burgundy, a suit. An older woman with reddish colored hair.

She says, "Its ok honey, I will take you. Everything is fine."

She then said..."Come on, I will help you dress and we will go down."

In my mind I was thinking, "Who is this woman?" "She must have come with my brother-in-law...or followed him to our home?" But it didn't matter to me as she was going to help me and take me there. She was so calming that I no longer felt my heart beating so fast. She had an uncanny ability to take over and obviously knew what she was doing.

She proceeded to help me and walked me into my bedroom. A kind woman. She went directly to my chest of drawers to remove a maternity top and shorts for me, as well as socks.

I hurriedly dressed and followed her down the steps and out the door to her car. She obviously had money as she had a beautiful huge Cadillac with burgundy, rust interior. Very pretty and far more comfortable for an 8-month pregnant woman than our own 10 year old vehicle.

She drove down the main road towards my mother?s home which was only 3 miles away from mine. The lights were glaring from all the emergency vehicles, fire trucks, ambulance, police cars and I began crying again and said aloud ?You don?t understand, my brother is blind!? She pulled into a parking space across from my mom?s home, in a hardware shop parking lot, turned to me as she reached across to try and open my door and said, "Don't worry honey, your brother is safe. You will see for yourself."

I got out of her car and "ran" across the street, as best as I could for my condition. I spotted my husband and his brother on the far edge of the lawn and hurried to run up to them. My husband looked up and asked ?How did you get here?" I explained, "The lady that came with Michael" (my brother-in-law) and Michael said, "Hunh? Nobody came with me."

I turned to point to the woman and her car. It was gone.

Completely gone.

The entire street was road blocked as my mother?s house was on property that shared the backyard of a gas station as her house was on the corner of the street. They feared a possible explosion. The woman and her car were nowhere in site.

There was no possible way that woman could have driven her car in and around the barricades that were set up and certainly no possible way for that woman to have exited that quickly either. That woman was my Guardian Angel. She was correct. My brother was safe at the home next door.

Later that evening, after all quieted down, I had time to reflect the entire irony of the evening. That woman, whom I?ve come to know as my angel, would have had to pass my husband as he was exiting our house as she was coming in. He did not see any woman there. Certainly they would have seen that beautiful Cadillac in our driveway!

Neither my husband, nor my brother-in-law, said that any other car was in our driveway. Just our old jalopy and Michael?s car.

I then recalled her going to my chest of drawers to help me dress. How did this woman know that my clothes were kept in the tall chest of drawers instead of the long dresser with mirrors? Most women take the long dresser with mirrors and the men use the chest of drawers. However, because my husband wore uniforms to work...he needed more space so he would have the long dresser and I took the short 4 drawer chest of drawers for mine.

Burgundy. The color burgundy. Everything was burgundy. The woman's hair, her shoes, her purse, her suit, her car. Why didn't that click? Burgundy and pink were the colors of my wedding only 9 months earlier. Burgundy and maroon were my favorite color at that time. That woman was indeed my guardian angel.

My mom lost everything. Her home, which contained all of my childhood relics and memories, burned completely to the ground. It was a vicious electrical fire that spread through the wiring and walls rapidly. Little did we know that after my mom would leave for her third shift work, my brother would also leave the house and visit with his secret girlfriend....the young divorced woman next door.

The next morning, a picture appeared in our local newspaper on the front page. A fireman was holding the completely charred remains of my mom's dresser drawer. Lying in that drawer was all of my mom's photo albums and loose pictures. Not a single one received so much as a speck of smoke damage.

Laying on top...was the Holy Bible.

Two things. First, why would a guardian angel help someone to catch a bus or help save someone from a fire! If angels can do such things, why are hundreds of people killed on the roads, by suicide bombers, by silly accidents, day after day? Are a privileged few given an angel? and if so why?
Secondly, Doris Stokes was on television years ago, and someone asked her if we all had guardian angels. She replied everyone had one looking out for them and protecting them. On that same evening there was an item on the news about a man who had lured several women, most but not all prostitutes, into the basement of his house in New York and kept them there for several months, raping and beating them. Now, first, where were their guardian angels who could have warned them in the first place? and in the WHOLE of New York, was there not one psychic person who could sense this awful treatment of these women and warn the authorities?
To carry it further, why was there not a great angelic/psychic shout of warning before the tsunami hit the Pacific. There was hours of warning possible, yet we have heard of no credible (or otherwise) prediction of the event.

As an aside, please can the angels of spelling, punctuation and grammar please bless this forum

Personally, I believe so, there was a time of great hardship and difficulty to me. And I was struggling finding acceptance anywhere. One person accepted me by offering a malteaser palm open offered me it. A token of unspoken friendship and acceptance. I've kept this memory close ever since. So yes, I feel that chance encounters do make a difference in one's life, although this was a chance encounter. The next thing that happened for me a couple of days later - I was frightened and a soul reached out to me. I say soul, not spirit, because I met the person two weeks later. Had a strange sense of deja vu. She helped me get my confidence back up and running. So my point is I feel there can be different types of angels. I do believe in angels, guardian angels as such and I believe angels do walk among us, not necesssarily portrayed stereotypically but there are good people out there that will help, just by a simple action like the token of unspoken friendship and acceptance. Doesn't have to be voiced to make a difference. Actions speak louder than words, sometimes.

You may want to think about the use of a serial comma; your sentence can be read as if you were asking "punctuation" and "grammar" to bless the forum. I don't know about you, but I think your invocation would be would be a true miracle.
