What would angels need a pair of wings for?

These are physical creations on a physical body mainly conjured up by folk law.

I am confused as to what would the point of angels having wings be?

There isnt any point Davie.

Our mums and dads who are now in spirit dont have wings to transport them around; they move by using the power of their thoughts; they talk by using the power of their thoughts, notwithstanding the fact that they can walk and they can talk, if they wish, as they did on earth. So if people, newly moved back into spirit dont need wings why would an evolved soul need a ton of feathers on his/her back?

The wings are the aura that people have seen when visited by spirit and their own need to rationalise has turned it into a pair of wings.

interesting opinion. Just a point of clarification from the "claim" of a spiritualist. Guides are for Mediums and assist in developing their mediumship. They most certainly do not trail a person around or interfere in their life. Makes me wonder where on earth that kind of view comes from, it really does.

Lets look at the facts here George.

We have plenty of evidence to say spirit guides do work with mediums and infact train for a long time to do this work. You say that they wouldn't get involved in 'money making ventures' when the majority of mediums make no money out of their work. Some do make money and work very hard and long hours to scrape a living. And if it is their job why should they not be able to live off it? the majority of mediums give their readings in churches for nothing more than travelling expenditure.
The majority of information that is being given by spirit tells us that guides do infact work with the medium in giving messages, even if the medium is unaware of this.
You say the 'overself' is actually the part that communicates with spirit. I would like to then know how this 'overself' then manages to gain a high enough vibration to be able to talk with inexperienced spirit people communicating for the first time who wish to pass messages on?
Spirit tell us that guides help with this and assist people in giving messages.
If it were indeed left to the medium to sort all this out there would not be many true messages getting through.
Not all guides are indian braves. If you were to look at the literature you would find that guides come in many guises, one of which being the indian brave. Guides can look to us any way they wish or they feel we will be comfortable with. We have been told many times that guides take a form which they feel will be more acceptable to the medium.

Have you ever sat in a room full of 80 people and watched ectoplasm flowing from a medium and then take the form of a spirit guide and speak to everyone in the room? When you have done that, then you can tell me how to suck eggs.

I too dont believe in negativity either and try to avoid being so at all costs.

I also know that what people envisage angels to be do exist - but they dont need wings and if Silver Birch couldnt slacken his vibrations to touch earth, how can angels?

People need to think that some of the spirit people they see are angels and thats fine and if it is comforting for them, thats also fine; we each find our own pathway back to God

I have seen Archangel Michael twice and he did have wings , he was also about 7 feet tall and carried a huge sword.He looked invincible.His inner light made him looked yellow and white .His energy was amazing.They will show themselves in a way that you can recognize them. :wink:

So God has given us the ability to move around in the spirit world using the power of thought but Angels need wings? Seems a bit mean of God to do that to his Angels. Sometimes the glory of a vision creates a wing-like effect but Angels do not have wings, Angels do not need wings and there is actually no evidence that Angels can visit earth. Spirit given evidence of their existence, I have yet to find evidence from Angels. They do exist, of this I am certain, but visit earth? Not as far as I can ascertain but then I dont need Angels to visit me.

PS: Why would an Angel carry a sword? Yuck!
