Well if God is energy and we are energy, are we not of the same image?

Just a thought.

I can find no evidence that we reincarnate until perfect. The sun will have gone nova before I ever become perfect so where would I come back to?

I am not bogged down on the need to keep coming back to a physical universe; am happy to incarnate on other levels of existence while I continue my development but I cannot see the purpose of repeating a physical existence, seems to be a waste of energy.

I do not refer to God as he. What man calls God spirit tell us is a creative energy responsible for everything and whether we call that energy he, she, it is immaterial because it encompasses everything in any case.

"Or is God a kid on a computer in another dimension, controlling our universe with a computer game, and failing miserably with our planet? "

Interesting concept! lol

why is it that the gender of God always comes into question. the answer is very simple. if there is one God then he does not need a gender, after all there are no other Gods around for the thing which gender is made necessary by, and in religions where they believe in many Gods; those many Gods have there genders already mapped out. So why all this He/she nonsense, surely it would not be offensive to call something without a gender it after all we do it to babies all the time. but on an opposite point the reason most people refer to God as He is because all though women have achieved a lot of equality over the years and in some areas supieriority (i.e diamond and shielas wheels) we still live in a very male society and masculine words are often used as a general comment for both genders for example MANkind, huMANs and others.

I think it is incorrect to assume that people who don't sit around in mountains chanting Om and chowing down on lentil burgers or whatever, can not or have not experienced the acutely overwhelming and awe inspiring feeling of being the essence of god, one with all creation, nothingness but everything, the illusory nature of reality, all that stuff. Just because it is described in a succinct and matter of fact manner that sounds intellectual, it is jumping to assumptions to automatically presume that an intellectual concept is anyone's only knowledge and experience of it, ... but how does one describe the feeling of this knowing in its raw essence? Even the most eloquent words will fall short if attempting anything more than simplifying the concept, ... at least all I have read has failed to convey anyway something that can only be experienced not explained. No one can directly share their experience of a knowingness, so no one can adequately judge from words at what level a person understands, knows, feels, experiences, or otherwise, such a concept. But then again, what would I know, I am just a lowly little human full of human frailties

This is a very interesting subject...and one that I'm sure has been asked many many times. I don't know that we will ever find an answer that will satisfy everyone, but I think this is one that needs to be answered from within. Personally, I think that God has always been. I know this is a hard concept to understand, especially with a finite mind. It's really hard not to think of a beginning and an end, but I do "feel" that this is the right answer for me. I do like to hear other opinions tho...so keep it coming.
(Personally, I think that God has always been) theres a statement we hear in church all the time and as good a answer as any still makes me think they say God lives in Eternity my understanding of Eternity is it has no beginning or end
I have been taught time don't exist in Eternity. The Bible teaches in Eternity time will be no more. So does this mean there was Eternity before time Which would make it possible if thinking in the infinate to see how if God existed before time and will exist after time then in finite terms he always was Just random thought going through my head.

Default Where did God come from?

For me God is the beginning. He came from the power the most powerful power. He has no end and He is everywhere. But only the people create their own religion and beliefts and have different name of God they are using but the same power. "Millions of people, thousands of religions, But God is only one".
