Besides the third eye, pituitary gland, chakra, the throat chakra is the simplest one to train.

Yoga, Tai Chi and Ba Gua Chang all teach the mantra. Chant the "aeoum" sound. Holding each syllable in the layrnx for about a second. Let the Mmm sound resonate in the throat and chest (it triggers the chest (thalmus) chakra and brings your defenses on-line) Practice this mantra and you will find you can turn your chakras on with a passing thought

In Ba Gua, we treat the chakras in pairs. The thyroid chakra in the throat is the harmonics chakra and has the element of wind. The Thalmus chakra is on the chest wall just above the heart and has the element of thunder. They complement and support eachother.

Thundar and wind are the transmission elements. Wind is energy leaving. Thunder is energy absorbed. The white blood cell system from the thalmus works in this manner (eating intruders and feeding the resultant materials to the body) The thalmus chakra functions in a similar way(absorbing negative energy, polarizing it, and feeding it to the mountain chakra of the liver) Wind is the communication chakra. It is the energy one sends out of the body/spirit.

I am very much Into sound therapy - I love 2 chant while playing the singing bowl. I know that the sound/vibration I was making would of stimulated the chakra In someway - but I will try the aeoum as well

It's not possible to close your chakras...you'd die! You can visualise closing them as a ritual to mentally 'close down' & ground yourself when you finish working if it helps, or some people visualise encasing themselves in a protective bubble or whatever. I don't feel the need myself but it's what works for you.

Hi Lucas, in my 50 years experience with healing, both hands on and distant, I have never even considered closing my chakras, simply because it is impossible to do so from a physical point of view. Aside from the 8 main chakras that everybody knows, there are absolutely thousands of chakras throughout the human body, the one thing that they all have in common is that none of them actually exist on this level; they are actually on a higher vibration than the physical plane. A word of caution, attempting to close your chakras, or for that matter to open them, will affect your equilibrium; simply because energy follows thought. It is a much better idea to put your trust in your spirit guides and guardians and allow them to keep you safe.

I think all this is very individual - for example I don't see the same amount and colors of "chakras" in me that I can see pictures of on the internet.

Open or closed - to me the discussion should be about how fast you have them spinning.

All talk of opening and shuting chakras,don't trouble your self opening or shutting any of them you have a team specailist in the spirit world who does all this for you.Every human being that ever has been and ever will be has a big team behind them EVERYONE,what you call them is up to you,guides,freinds,i just call them my team.People who think they are opening and shutting these energy centeres are doing it for sure but everything there doing is watched and processed and adjusted for the work your going to carry out.So lets say you were going to do a demonstration in a spiritual church in front of lets say 30 people and you know you work in clarevoyance"seeing",clarentience"feeling" your guides will open the chakras that are needed so even if you were in a room before and you opened all of them to do your demonstration the guides will see to it otherwise there's wasted energy.I work naturally and have never opened any chakras to do anything spiritual you don't need to.TRUST and its done.
