Hi Ddomepaint
wow, an amethyst geode! You might need to 'calm' the effect of the amethyst down, I think a piece (maybe large as this is a geode!) of rose quartz is the thing to use, but I'm not 100% sure. Would be worth ckecking on the internet before you try, I know my daughter told me I needed to do this if I wanted to sleep with amethyst near me. Best wishes Micki xx |

Hi Micki,
I tried last night and I had a bad night, which I do most nights. Unfortunally I have a sleep disorder so it is hit and miss with me. I asked my husband if he had any dreams he could remember....alas no. Yeah the geode was from a friend. I let her stay with me a few times and she brought it over. I took it and hid it ,lol, then told her she could not have it back. So it's mine now. A smaller piece ,I would have to buy one because there is no way I would break this one. I will look for some rose quartz, maybe this will help. I will also take your advice and check the web for more info on the stones. I have done this several times but maybe I can find some better info. I will let you know if I succeed in that. If you come across any more info.....Please let me know Micki. Thanks so much for your help. :!: |

Jaxeen,
Isn't it so cool to be able to solve your problems while you sleep? I actually don't do that as much as I used to because I am trying to transport to another place while I am sleeping. I did it the other night and actually ended up in another time and place and was actually touched by people. I have posted it under "transported to another place" on here if you are interested. In the mean time keep dreaming and have some fun while your at it. |

I have semi-lucid dreams fairly frequently... the most recent was due to a false awakening, I'd just had an ordinary dream, then I dreamed I fell asleep and woke up, and when awake walking down a sidewalk I playfully swung around a lamppost and lifted both my feet off then realized I was had just been dreaming but now was an odd condition to be awake in, swinging around a lamppost with both feet of the ground and not very fast... so I flew around for a bit in the clouds that turned into porridge (the porridge wasn't my doing, but I didn't mind.) It was fun. I've been trying to be more consistent with my lucid dreams, but it's kind of difficult (see all the induction methods on wikipedia) since it doesn't come naturally to me, most of my dream actions are initiated in the midst of a dream if I'm lucky instead of deliberated before the dream.

Palimpset,
Thank you for the info. I shall check it out. Wow turning into mush? What does that feel like? I love flying! I always start off by just walking and soon my feet start lifting off the ground and I'm off. I end up swimming through the air. I also have dreams where someone may be trying to catch me and I take a running leap and they can never catch me. I love that so much! Again thank you. :smt059 |

I like the idea of the amethyst crystal. I should get one. I don't know why...but even though I hate dreaming, perhaps it would help me. 2 things I definitely have to try. Crystals and Lucid dreaming. I mean, my dreams are so far fetched sometimes...that they seem so very real. I think they're vivid enough..but who knows...maybe they'll change. Like I'm living them at those times. Not all of them, but definitely some of them.
Hmm this has all been very interesting for me to read. Thanks. lol

I am working with healing gems and crystals a lot.
As for increasing dreaming and dream recall I use rock crystal. Azurite-Malachite helps with dreaming as well. I have had vivid dream experiences all my life. My dreams are most often half-lucid. A couple of years ago I was able to lucid dream every night. But then it stopped. Right now my dream experiences are about to increase again, becoming more intense and more definite than ever. I can also choose what I want to dream what spiritual aspects/personal matters I want to work on. If I don't choose a topic my soul self will choose the most important aspects. Love and light MIdnightStar

there are books written about lucid dreaming, and at least 1 I own even serves as a manual to assist you in the process - to be conscious during different levels of sleep. I've had many lucid dreams myself... usually i can make things happen, but mostly I try to just explore what my own subconscious mind throws at me and try to maintain the awareness ;)

I have never really worked with a book to learn how to lucid dream. I just followed my intuition on that and I didn't question it. It was years after I have realized I can choose the contents of my dreams that I became curious and compared the way I do it with what is recommended in the books about lucid dreaming, realizing that what I have done is almost exactly what was written there. A couple of years ago my dreams where like real movies. It seemed as if I would be dreaming all night long. There was a story line, and main characters and supporting characters which were clearly to discern.
