I think it depends on the people you're around. For instance, I have a friend who tried it once when she was babysitting a little girl. And she didn't tell the little girl that she was doing it....but the little girl noticed. Now, I know that children are much more susceptible to things of spiritual nature, more then adults are....but I think that if the person is sensitive to the spiritual world around them...then YES they could probably see you while you're having an OBE.

Horlet, In my own opinion, I honestly don't feel that it is possible for anything nor anyone to invade your body while having an OBE or Astral projection or travel. There are rules in spirit that are followed pretty darn close. I also feel that when we have a body to inhibit, it is ours from the time of it's existence to the time we sever the silvercord at our passing. Because you have an OBE or an Astral Projection or travel, does not mean you are still not in control of your physical body... you are always the one in control of it.

I am not an expert on this subject, by any means, in fact I would say that I am one of the least knowledge'd in here on this subject, However, i feel tho deeply in my hearts of hearts there is a natural manner in which we govern ourselves in spirit with our human bodies. I feel as tho many things are possible, in the manner of which we exist in our bodies, but I strongly feel as tho we are tied and connected to this body until we leave it permanently to the afterlife. I feel the spirit knows when that time is and because of this it tells me that there is no way that another spirit could possible inhibit this body, first of all, without our knowledge of it, secondly, spirit is love, so spirit would not do such a thing to incorp a possible conflict to our bodily existence. That is just not the way the spirit world works.

And what exactly are you protecting yourself against when you said protect yourself? What is a crystal going to protect you from? In spirit, there is no need for protection, because spirit is love and you don't need to protect yourself from love of or in spirit. I think it is wise to know what to perhaps expect in an OBE or Astral travel.. outside of that... i think i would honestly feel pretty safe from anything since it is my choice to experiment an OBE and since I have the absolute control of this, I am allowed to say when and when it feels ok for me. Not that I would be worried about any harm.

Also.. as I was thinking further on this subject... we have little visits outside of our body all the time in our sleep. I don't prepare myself for protection while I sleep... it's as natural of an occurrence as it is for me in my awake conscious mind. So perhaps it's really no different then sleeping and traveling around a bit..I kind of like it to be honest with you... it's a place of experience and i think whomever designed us did so with the thought inmind, we may not wish to visit life outside of our physical bodies as we have choice in the matter, so we are designed to be able to have a cellular memory of it if we so choose to from our sleeping patterns and the travel we do in our sleep state. If we choose to "want" to travel while in our more conscious state and we make that clear decision, then it wont be such a shock to our system and emotions when it happens....

I just love the balance of the spirit nature and how we are always thought of ahead of time before bodily experience xxxxxxxxxxx

I actually meditated on this subject.. as i thought it was a good question.... and this is what came to mind...

I feel that everyone has free will and choice.. and if you wish to see a particular "someone" while experiencing an OBE, that it up to you.. however, remembering that "everyone" has free choice and will... if that other person does not care to see such things, they also have the free choice not to see anything. I am not saying that it is not possible to be seen while having an OBE.. as honestly, i don't know.. i just look at the natural laws of spirit and the choices we are allowed to make for ourselves. I feel as tho when anything is done in spirit it is done out of love. I am not sure I would want to invade another like that without their permission first of all, nor would it be about them, it is "my" wishes and desires to do the traveling so it would ultimately be about my personal experience and not another who may or may not be able to see me.

I do feel there are some people that have an open window ( if you will) who are able to tap into the esoteric with ease, and maybe perhaps if they find their selves open and willing to accept anything that is around them at the time, maybe they can capture or sense there is someone around them and maybe they might be able to see them. I think there has to be some pretty special circumstances for that to happen tho.. I don't feel as tho it is something that is common.. and again, this is only my opinion as I think about the checks and balances of spirit.
