Are they on a wall? Covered with paint? Or maybe a curtain?
If it was a movie poster from RoadHouse, or Dirty Dancing, or some other movie made by Patrick Swayze, that would be scary++

Perhaps they are shy about how they feel about the greater world around us. A shame they can't face the world around us and benefit the community as a whole with their acknowledged presence.
