Regarding 'ghosts' in dreams. I had a rather unhappy youth, as my dad and I didn't get on too well, and also as he spent a lot of time overseas I always turned to my mother for help and advice (but didn't always get it). Over the past couple of years - I'm now in my sixties - I have had very vivid dreams of sitting with my parents in the old family home. In my dreams my mother is always as I remember her in real life, but my 'dream dad' is different - I have the strong impression that he is trying, via my dream-state, to make up and be friends. This impression is extremely strong, and when I have such a dream it takes me a couple of days to get over it. I'm aware that in his later years my dad did, in his way, acknowledge that he might have done things differently as far as I'm concerned, but if so he never went much out of his way to 'shake hands and make up', so to speak. In my dreams, he seems to be trying harder than he ever did in real life to communicate and connect with me, and it's quite moving in a way. Sadly, in my dream-state, I know I don't want him to try to get closer to me, and I effectively ignore him, concentrating on my mother.

Is my experience at all unusual, I wonder? Does anyone else experience similar occurrencies in their dreams?

Spirit to my knowledge is a universal energy Ghosts are the manifestations of those who have passed over.An Earth bound ghost is usually manifestation of some one who passed from this life but can't move on,it could be to the way they died ie if they were murdered.As for relatives you never new coming into your dreams l don't feel they would,because how would you know who they were if you did not recognize them.Loved ones can come into your dreams to bring messages to you.In dream state your object vive mind is quite this allows your subjective mind to become fully awake and receptive to cosmic vibrations.

A ghost is a psychic imprint from the past, spirit is us in a material body when the material body passes on we return to the light no earthbound spirits no lost between worlds etc.

Hi, this is my very fist post and I wanted time to get the feel of the board before I started posting here, BUT your question made me want to reply asap!
I believe so yes....
I have a Great Aunt (aged 86), she is my grandmothers sister but grandma died when I was 1yr old. G.Aunt lives 2 hrs away from us so we dont see each other much but often call each other out the blue when one of us is talking/thinking about the other....anyway..
One night a year ago I had a very vivid dream (I have allsorts of dreams from daft ones to very vivid/emotional) that a lady came to me, dont know where I was or what was around me, I didnt hear a voice but I knew very clearly she said to me "Look after your Aunty M (great aunt)". I woke with a start, it was 4am and I actually woke my H to tell him, to verify I receieved the message as I was fully expecting Dad to tell me Aunty M had passed away the next day!
So lunch time the next day, Dad called me, my heart was in my mouth, but Aunty was ok. Uncle J had died that morning (her husband!). I told my parents my dream and didnt think too much about it, well I did but didnt voice it lol.
After the funeral back at Auntys house, we were chatting and I told her what happened. I described this lady as very very petite, small almost frail, old, very wispy bob style white hair and a long sleeved floor length high neck night gown (which made me laugh cos I though 'yeah right, typical ghost!'). She wasnt at all shocked, she smiled at me and said "Oh that was your Nana H...mine and your grandma's mam". I obviously have never met this lady, never even seen a photograph or heard a description!
Aunty M said to me "she was a bit like you and me, you are like me..". I asked why the white night gown, aparently she spent the last few years of her life with dementia and stayed in bed most of the time (apart from wandering the country lanes in the middle of the night...) and she always wore these style night dresses.

So, sorry for the ramble, and Im sorry to barge in with my 1st post like this! But I am a firm believer that it must be possible. I cant explain this dream/timing/description if not???
