Can ghosts visit you when you sleep? And if they can why would they need/want to?

And is it possible to meet dead relatives that you have never met before, in your dreams?

The reason ghosts don't visit you when you sleep is because ghosts are an energetic imprint on an environment and have no consciousness to choose to do so, they are like a recording. Spirits on the other, ... which is what your dead relatives are, ...can and choose to do so at times because they are connected to and interested in you, even those you have never met, and it is sometimes easier for them to contact people via their receptive dream states rather than when they are awake.

Ghost is just another name for spirits. The question is are these spirits manefested by us or from the dead. I have gotten messages from people through their spirit while they were still living. AND... long after they died.

Sorry but that is incorrect, A ' ghost' is residual energy, like a tape recording of something that a spirit done whilst here. A spirit is a live entity that visits, communicates and then goes back to the spirit world. It is said there are earth bound spirits. That does not make sense to me, why would you want to be stuck here.

TY Angel - and Scotty xxx I threw that one back as a Q long ago coz I felt I was going to bang my head against a wall deliberating the point. Hopefully with a few people knowledgable about the difference commenting on it, it might go some where towards setting it straight and with any luck being the catalyst for others to be more inclined to accept that there is in fact a difference - a huge one.

Gosh Nat, as a teacher I'd think you'd have more patience and tolerance than this.

jennalee if you have read these forums you will have seen just how much tolerance and patience nat has for answering peoples questions.
Although not a teacher on this site nat is a very valuable member of our comunity who enjoys sharing her knowledge with people.
However sometimes it gets very wearing when people ask the same silly questions over and over without bothering to read theforums where they will find answers to their questions.
