I myself am an aquarian. I hold to some of what is expected of an aquarian but I also think we are all unqiue in our own special ways. How about these numbers for an aquarian----My birthdate---02-04-68. Hmmm I wonder if this makes me a lucky aquarian, lololol.

I'm an Aquarian too! Feb 15. I don't feel that astrology books really describe the typical Aquarian very well. They usually make us sound like weirdos. In fact, most Aquarians I've known have been fairly conservative in their dress, behavior and attitude. I do relate to some Aquarian traits but I feel more like my moon sign which is Pisces. I have 4 planets in Pisces in the 12th house (ruled by Pisces) so that is probably why.
I read somewhere that your sun sign shows your general traits, your moon sign shows your emotions or inner self and your rising sign shows how the world sees you.
I think Aquarius is a sign that is hard to get a handle on or something. My husband is a Capricorn and he really fits the description. It drives me crazy that he hates change so much. He always worries about what people think of him but he won't admit it.
One of my favorite astrology books is Sun Signs by Linda Goodman. One thing she said about Aquarian women (she has different descriptions of men and women for each sign) is that they are changeable and you never know what you'll get. Like one day they are all fey and mystical and tell you a story about an elf on a windowsill and the next day when you tell them a story about a snowman they get all practical and say that's silly, a snowman is nothing but a pile of slush.(her description-sort of) I think I am like that. Sometimes romantic and mystical; sometimes practical and cynical. Or I alternate between being shy or calling attention to myself by being office clown. I just do it because I can't stand to be bored. Maybe that is it, Aquarian women sort of alternate between extremes in a lot of their behavior. Simillar but not the same as Geminis who just have lots of different personalities.
I also have this trait where I tend to see both sides of most issues. Anybody relate to that? I thought that was supposed to be a Libra trait.
Oh, and I do have that absent minded thing going which is supposed to be an Aquarian trait.
And one other thing ( I guess I am more the typical Aquarian than I first thought) is that I do like to shock people sometimes. Like if someone is really phony. Then I like to say something shocking so they go-you can't say that. And I think, yeah, well I just did. It's great because people don't expect it from me.

I know 3 aquarians I'm very close to. My sister in law has moon in Aquarius and I always felt she never cared about me or anyone else, now I know why. She's extremely self absorbed and only wants to talk about herself. She's very bright and so analytical it's such a bore. Her sun is Gemini so I'm sure that doesn't help matters. When I'm frustrated with a friend of my mine I'll tell her why they've been bugging me. When she's frustrated with a friend she'll tell me how ugly they are.

My best friend is Aquarius sun, he's 32 years old and has never had a gf in his entire life although he falls in love with practically every girl he meets, he fantasizes about them a lot. He's very untypical of this sun, as he is very emotional and sensitve. He has commitment issues and a great fear of rejection which we've talked about in depth. He's VERY insecure. He's not at all analytical but true to the stars he always needs to have a hundred friends around him. He's the last to leave a party, in fact, we have to push him out the door.

My brother is Aquarius and he is Aquarius down to the last bone, the artistic kind. He has a mad scientist quality about the arts. He's extremely talented in music and writting and his passion for it runs deep. When he's "creating" he's extremely irritable and we all know just to stay out of his way or he'll push you out of his way. He's very unfeeling, hates commitments and is scared off by anything challenging his freedom. He talks about humanitarian issues a lot but doesn't do much to help out the cause. He pursues the arts because of his love for it but I know he just wants to be famous. He's really stingy with his money and really only cares about himself. He's selfish, arrogant and the flakiest person on the planet. If I have an appointment with him he just won't show up or even call. It still blows me away. He's very self confident, maybe too much. I believe he doesn't care about anytihng but himself. And he's never sorry for anything and doesn't feel the need to apologize. All he ever talks about are his friends, my friends, he's a good friend of mine...... And he calls everybody brother.

I too like Linda Goodman's books... If you want to know anything about any sign, read her books. Especially sun signs and love signs. I think I may like love signs the best though... But the whole of "sun signs" you can actually find on the net.

The zodiac has 12 signs, right? And the aquarius is the eleventh. Before you can become an aquarius, it is said that you must have been all of the other signs first (in past lives). Being for example a taurus though, doesn't mean that you've only lived 2 lives (since it's the second sign) - you may be an old soul that's actually been through all the signs, but you've come back to taurus because you have more to learn.

Well back to the point... In aquarius one has gathered wisdom from all of the previous 10 signs, and the aqua as linda goodman states "fearing he/she will burn in with all the wisdom, starts to pour it all out". Some may call the aquarius selfish and egoistical. I don't deny it. Still, I wouldn't say we're more self-centered than everybody else. It's just that - we don't deny it. We don't try to hide it like many other people do... Yet, this is a "torn" sign. Torn between a so called egoistical placed sun and a humanitarian and worldloving uranus. Everything with an aquarius is a paradox.

Aquarians are also said to live in the future. When other people say that the statement about aquarians pouring wisdom is wrong - it might just be that you don't get what they're trying to say. I'm finding it hard to express myself here, but... You know, most aquarians are intuitive... I myself am all the time trying to tell the people around me about... tomorrow kind of. They just don't listen. Try to LISTEN. To yourself and to everybody else and to the world and the heart and everything. Just listen.

Oh... And btw. You can't ONLY CONSIDER the sun sign... Especially the moon and the ascendant has to be looked into. I mean, there's the moon, the asc, venus, mars, mercury, jupiter, saturn, pluto, chiron, vesta, the north and south node, pallas, juno, cusps, grades... And all the aspects and houses... Probably more too, I just can't remember them ATM... Aspects other than the sun can actually balance some influences. I, for example have moon in cancer - which is considered a strong aspect because the moon is home in cancer. It makes me allot more sensitive and home-loving than most aquarians Also, my asc is in leo which makes me a bit ill-tempered and dramatic... Something that is very a-typical aqua who are more of the emotionally cool type.

If you want more information... Just google or something. I know there's allot of topics concerning aquarians. Linda Goodman for example has a coupple of sites in her name.

I do have to say several of the astrology threads (not just this topic) have been amusing me, ... it seems so many people are so quick to be critical of others and point out what they percieve as the flaws of other signs (even when describing multiple very different poeple under the one sign) yet, most are also soooo quick to point out why their own sign is sooooo lovely. It is quite a funny thing to observe, ...this little slice of human nature.

starsign attributes are not super evident.

there are more than 12 types of people in this world arnt there? the universe is diverse in every aspect. there are many areas to be knowledgable in.

I'm an aquarian , so is my brother and father. me and my dad are similar, but he is alot more to himself and doubting if himself, my brother is the most anoying person ever! no sign of intellegence in him, but it is there somewhere.

Jahweh, I think you've got it a little wrong. OF COURSE there are more than 12 different personality patterns in the world. You have to consider the other planets, houses and aspects too. Like me for example, I'm an aquarian sunsign, but my moon is in cancer so it makes me allot more sensitive and emotional than other aquarians may be.

Actually, there's more like 24, because you may be under one sign, but your aspects of that sign may be opposing, thus creating the opposite (get it?) of that sign's personality. Along with the aspects of the other planets and the ascendent and what-not, you achieve an individual personality.

You're unique, just like everyone else. :smt039

calling all aquarians has got to be the most aquarian post in the world, it's so typical of our nature to try and congragate. it's the ultimate challenge; trying to shock the shockers.
