I just finished reading “Life in the World Unseen” and “More About Life in the World Unseen” (for the second time, lol)
The online versions can be found here: http://***.angelfire.com/ne/newviews/life.html and http://***.angelfire.com/ne/newviews/morelife.html Monsignor's intention for communicating from spirit was to describe the spirit realm as it is, and not as he had taught in his Catholic Faith. He wanted to “set straight” the facts that were quite opposite from those stated in the book he wrote in his earthly life. While I’m an avid reader of spiritual books, I always try to keep an open mind while reading these books. One could say I almost try to use a ‘skeptic’s” point of view. I was quite impressed with the descriptions of the spirit realm given in these books, however was a little taken aback with the very detailed description of the lower realms of spirit. After much thought, I realized that the reason behind that may have been that the author’s intention was to give an entire depiction of the spirit realm, good with the bad. One topic mentioned in the book that I questioned was that the author did say that when we arrive in spirit, most of the time we are in need of rest and our loved ones will be there to greet us when we awake. Now, I truly believe this, and certainly hope it to be the truth as I know that when I get to spirit, my mother and/or grandparents would be the first person/people I would like to see, and believe that meeting them in of itself would help me to let go of any of my possible doubt of where I am that so many seem to experience when they get to the other side. What struck me as odd is that this gentleman (The Monsignor) was greeted by a friend, colleague. Didn’t he have a parent or grandparent that has been looking forward to seeing him? Wouldn’t his loved ones, or family members want to have seen him. Oddly, he never spoke about them in his writings. The second book “More About Life in the World Unseen” basically tells of all the same things that the first book did, except here, the author (and friends) guide a newly arrived spirit through his beginnings in the spirit realm. Again, I questioned why the author and his friends, who were complete strangesr to this young man were the ones bring him to the other side. Why not a loved one, or at least someone he knew? All in all I found both of these books to be very inspirational, and definitely recommend both of them as great page turners! Last edited by 2bisnot2b; Wed, 4th Nov 2009 at 04:16 pm. Anthony Borgia was a medium who communicated with a catholic priest and author he knew in life,Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson(1871-1914) and who was the son of a former Archbishop of Canterbury,Edward White Benson.Mon.Benson's intentions were to tell the truth about the spirit world and he did it wonderfully.I have no reason to suspect the validity of these communications because his identity as communicating spirit was proven without doubt, his honesty and integrity were well known too.
I agree very much that the books are very inspirational. Here you can read a little more about soul sleep:http://***.psychics.co.uk/spiritworld/soul-sleep.html |
