Tarot cards are little bit to do with Astrology as certain Sun signs and planets do rule the Major Arcana, like Death card is ruled by Scorpio. Aries rules the Emperor, Mercury rules Magican, Cancer rules Chariot, Moon rules High Priestess, Mars rules Tower, Leo rules Strength card and Gemini rules the Lovers, Libra rules Justice etc etc.
I use astrological tarot cards as they make more sense to me,but there is the Major arcana and four aces in their plus Chinese signs. I sometimes use the Ryder Waite tarot but they are not easy and can take years of practise to learn. There is plenty of online tutorials avail and loads of books and you know what they say about practise, practise and more practise. LOL |

I would say the same; practice makes perfect. I also use the ryder-waite deck; have many others, but they were the ones that clicked for me. There are sort of astrological connotations- each suit has a sign, Earth,Air,Fire&Water(Pentacles,Swords,Wands&Cups). Think the major arcana are loosely astrological also & are given either a star-sign, planet or Heavenly body, eg; The Moon is Cancer, The Lovers is Venus & Strength,Leo.
Not very clued up on astrology tbh-more into me Tarot, but i find it fascinating as a subject & a science(can hear my hubbie shouting 'it's not science,it's mumbo-jumbo!' lol. But i do think it is sort of a science. Can't fathom a lot of the language, so you must be one bright lady to get your head round it! Once paid for a full natal chart& i didn't even understand that if im honest! :-? |

Sorry to hear you paid out for a natal chart and didnt understand it luv. Most are just computer generated, press a button type. When I do a chart, i puts loads of explanation notes in, prob too many, cos like the teacher in me, i want people to learn what there reading about. Again if you know what time you were born, try www.cafeastrology.com as this will explain in detail what it means to have each one of the 10planets in the signs and in the houses.....LOL |

I realised my mistake after posting it & haven't figured out how to edit posts yet. Have bouts of insomnia & last night was the result! Apparently, Saturns in my 10th house, my sun&moon are in Gemini & im Libra rising, but that might as well be in greek as i don't know how to translate it into an actual profile. Really dense with maths & if something has angles or looks like a chart, or there are degrees, my brain refuses to soak it up-it just goes 'blahblahyouwon'tunderstand this anywaycosit'smathsblahblah!' Dead annoying.
Like you, i like to give full explanations-I'm in love with words, but numbers? Gobbledegook! Karenxx |

If you Sun and Moon are conjunct which means within 8' of each other, it means your parents really got on well, but your view of your mother (Moon) was that she was restless, procrastinating, good talking and didn't like making decisions either. All depends what degree (maths again, sorry about this....) you are on the Ascendant? You dont have to understand maths to learn astrology really and it is a form of psychology. If you want to know what makes you tick and others, Astrollogy is a great tool. Transiting Jupiter is in Capricorn at moment and should be going through your 4th house, home roots. Have you thought about moving to somewhere bigger, has your family expanded recently. Because the sign Capricorn, which normally belongs to the 10th of career and social standing, has anything improved. Capricorn like cancer, both are rather shrewd in business and good with money and hanging onto it longer and harder than the rest of us. Capricorn always wants value for money and expects things to last. So have you purchased something of value for the home? Nice to see someone asking questions, cos thats what im here for. So thank you LOL  |

Ah, right. Went on that link you'd posted last night, but i bet i entered some of the info wrong, wasn't exactly compos-mentis at the time! Not slept properly in days. LMAO whn i read what you said about money- hope you're right, because we could do with some!(couldn't we all?!) Flat-broke at moment, cant even get a bottle of milk & not likely to be able to till thursday. Got half a ***-then ive run out, (that's when the fun will start, lol). But on the plus-side, i have a roof over my head- there's people out there with much less than me. I may not sleep, but at least i have a bed if i want one. There's food for the kids & we're warm enough, so it could be worse (and it will be when ive smoked this last half a cig, lol). We'll see how philosophical i am later, when my brain's screaming NICOTINE!!!! hahaha.

When/if you do a general reading the client wants to intrepret the cards by saying this means that or that means this and it lots of guesswork. You can do general readings with the Ryder Waite and you just have to look for the most predominant suit, whether it cups question about love, fire question about work, pentacles question about money, swords question about communications, adversaries, arguements etc. hope that helps luv |
