First of all this is my hand in the picture in front of the camera lense, no ghosts here. I guess what im looking for is some information on digital photo abnormalties. If you look closely at my fingers, particularly my pinky you will notice that it is transparent and you can see through it to the stuff on my bed. I imagine it is some sort of camera oddity and i was wondering if anyone could explain what is causing the transparency. I had the camera on a tripod and was checking the self photo timer when the pic was taken. The camera is a canon powershot 6 megapixls. Any and all info welcome as i am clueless.

I'm no expert in photogrophy and have to say that is rather unsual i suggest you get someone " professional" in that field of work to take a proper look at it, good luck

No photo expert but you can create the same effect with your vision if you make yourself cross-eyed (in the same way you would look at a 3D picture, not both eyes looking at the nose)

Maybe it's in some way related to 'the blind spot'..?

Only one other shot came out like that. It was of me, and i am transparent except where i have clothes on. and it was taken that very same night in the same group of pictures. Ive tried different experiments messing with the camera settings to see if i could duplicate the picture.......No luck yet.
I hope im not turning into a vampire! HaHa
I searched the web and was able to find one other picture of a man who was transparent, and their theory was not a camera abnormality, but something to do with his vibrational rate being higher. Hmmmm still clueless. Thanx for all the imput.

I think if this man's vibrational rate was higher than the rest of us, then we would be able to see thru him without the need of a photograph.

This is very strange coz its not like the light can go through your fingers and come back to make this effect..Why is it whatever im thinking dont come out right when I reply to posts? lol. Is there anyway we can see the other picture? id love to..you did say you had one? ooo very very strange.

This website explains how it is done, its shutter speed, if the object is moving and the camera is kept very still (you said it was on tripod) it will give a transparent look to it, so i guess the hand was shaking when the photo was taken and the shutter speed was either changed or you have something wrong with your camera.

yes i have to agree with the lovely person above... I am a hopefully a budding photographer and use DSLR's when i get the chance and altho i have not seen this before personally.. i did assume the shutter speed was on a slower setting than it should have been (either automatically or manually) or thru mechanical fault.. this capturing the movement and static objects at same time and interperatin their position on film or digital memory.

THANKfully u aint gonna be out in search of blood lust this fine Night.. but ill keep the windows shut just incase

yep id have to agree with the photographers here...im a photography teacher. The image is too low quality to be shopped your flash may not have been set correctly or your shutter speed...even the tiniest of movements if the two above arent right would create the transparent lokk...your fingers were moving more than the main body of your hand hence the transparency through all of them if you look closely xx
