You seem to have been very hurt by the religious establishment or its practitioners. Thats not really religion and if that is the case then you should put it behind you. Religion is about the special relationship we all have with the creative love energy which is responsible for us all being here. That is extremely personal and no one interferes with it so while everyone else may be running around like chickens with their heads cut off, I am secure, for I and my father are one, despite all the rhetoric and biblical quotations I am getting quoted at me by others who think they know what is best for me. I hope it is not too long before you too find your own God. I dont need a religion for I am my own religion but I choose to go to Spiritualist Churches so I can be with friends who understand spirit and worship with them in public, but the true worship takes place in private and is on a totally different level altogether.

You see, the act of questioning if Earth has been or is being visited by aliens is never or rarely understood.
Given the size of the universe (or even our own galaxy), it's not unreasonable to assume that life has evolved elsewhere. BUT...it's fair to assume that such life has not yet acquired the technology to get here, let alone the technology to find us and our terrible, warring ways. If those who accept that science proves that there must be life, then they must also accept the line of thinking that all life has only had the same 13.7 billion year window (i.e. the age of the universe, unless someone knows some bloke down at the deli who knows better, of course). After 13.7 billion yeras, we're the best that our corner of the cosmic yard has managed...what makes anyone think that life has fared better elsewhere? I have a strong feeling that something does indeed walk across the face of another world or is just now crawling gasping from the ocean of some distant planet...but I refuse to believe that life from elsewhere has ever been here. The rise of belief in aliens is directly and inversely proportional to the decline in belief (in the West) in traditional deities. There is no God waiting to save us, in much the same way that there is no intergalactic brotherhood waiting to save us from ourselves. We're on our own. |

Well, just considering the multitude of weird and wonderful life forms that have evolved on our tiny lil insignificant planet, I find it inconceivable that life of some form has not evolved elsewhere.
Even in our most remote and hostile regions, some kind of creature has appeared that has developed characteristics to enable it to survive. I think the problem with most folk is that they are accustomed to the mundane, kinda normality of everyday life. Maybe if people realise that we are this miracle of evolutionary processes, that live on a huge rock, that circles around the sun at thousands of miles an hour, and there are billions of suns in a universe that has no end etc...then believing that there may be other intelligent life forms out there that may have communicated or visited us is not really a big deal in the whole scheme of things. Personally, I think there is intelligent life elsewhere, but for them to get here, hmm...my jury is still out on that one. Andy |

Yes they do exist I have detected a presence in my house and have taken photos, I am getting a data cable today to connect the phone to the PC and I will email the photos of what looks like an ET thing looking through my bedroom mirror, I had the house blessed in May it feels better but there is movement near the light and I can see images - a mist near my curtain and a face appears and this strange looking thing with 2 big eyes and a long neck...watch this space.....I will be back soon with the photos -I need an expert to look at them but I am sure they are real.

msnkimmel cut down on the coffee :P
and from me thats saying something, if i cut back on coffee nescafe phones me to ask whats wrong. perhaps people don't believe in aliens because they're brought up believing in santa and the real world is just a little to hard for them to grasp. the people that really spin me out are the ones that don't believe in either a spirit world (god) or aliens. what do they think, life just happened on this and only this world. just a little egocentric but ok. people like that probably think the world will make them supream ruler the moment everyone realizes just how smart they are. one last thing, that button at the bottom of the screen that says "Submit" is really intimidating, I'd love to press Preview just once but i must conform to the wishes of the button. |
