2012 is supposed to be the year when the world (Earth) will end. It has been predicted by the Miyans, Nostradamus, witches, sages (I forget who exactly) and a new computer program set up by the US government to predict trends in the market, world affiars, environment issues, and other probable disasters like disease and asteriod impacts ect. Strangly enough it has predicted a total colapse of everything in 2012.

This is the bare basics on 2012, but if others would like to extend this thread on this topic please go-ahead, cos Id like to read what others know about this,cheers.

I hope not I was looking forward to the Olympics lol. I don't understand what makes the year 2012 so special and though alot of phrohocies have said that is the year that the world will end but so many have a said it is this date and that date its quite funny. And as for believeing the American Governments computer lmao. No I think I will enjoy everyday as it comes and not live my life with an egg timer on my head based a few random phropacises. I recall a very intense "Prophet" telling us the world would end in 1975......

....Then another one saying the end would come in 1983......


another told us to "get our affairs in order" by 1999.....

The World was supposed to go into "Meltdown" in 2000 then.....!!!!!

I have a friend who thoroughly believes in this. He was told also that there was to be a second coming of Christ and that he would make his appearance in England as a great leader.
Anyone else heard of thos prophecy?

I heard it was just the end of the Mayan calendar, but because their calendar was so complicated (was, that is, well, their world ended waaaay before as their calendar says 2012,) it got interpreted as "end of the word" instead of "new era's eve." I echo keele's sentiments. It's just the constant assumption that we're at the end of the road every single generation, is beginning to sound like an excuse for not having to make the world a better place for the future, because it's always going to end "soonish" :roll: May we just have a century without the doomsayers? Is this too much to ask?

Not strictly the end of the world as such but more of entering into a world and level of a higher conciousness.

Nah it's not the end of the world, it's an end of a cycle in the mayan calendar but it's not the end of the final cycle it's the penultimate one. The world is liabel to change though the reality of psychicism ect may gradualy become common knowlegde, it's also (aparantly) suposed to be the year the one world government gets put up though I can't see that myself it's too soon give it another decade.

The date is 21st of december at 11.23 pm when the cycle actualy ends (I think). A new energy starts coming through from out there, and things will begin to change. I don't know a huge amount but alot of what is said is conjecture.

We're also coming towards the end of the age of picies and entering the age of aquarius. Moving from a water sign to an air sign, The energy has already begun to change. Maybe something to do with the rise in violent crime? The climate changes? Well maybe who knows, hopefuly the poisitive characteristics will start to show through maybe they already have.

Hello to everyone,I'm Joan and a newbie. I have been scanning all the forums to find anything I could relate to, and there is plenty. I don't think the world is going to explode or any thing like that, all though I fear the global warming when will the Governments of the world wake up and start to make right the wrongs they are causing to Mother Earth. Back on topic, in the book of revelations, I think, I read that an Anti Christ will rise in the east , and that Evil will rule for a thousand years and at the second coming of Christ, he will fight the evil, Please put me right any of you Bible Students out there, is it called the Battle of Armageddon, or just Armageddon, God will destroy the Beast, and his Legions, and then peace will reign. As Marcus has already said it's the end of a cycle. I have just repeated what I read, Bible style.
